30. By decision 1/COP.5, the fifth session of the CRIC is charged, inter alia, with the task of reviewing reports from affected country Parties of regions other than Africa.
32- تتولى الدورة الخامسة للجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، عملاً بالمقرر 1/م أ-5، جملة مهام منها مهمة استعراض التقارير المقدمة من البلدان الأطراف المتأثرة في المناطق خلاف أفريقيا.

31. In accordance with decision 1/COP.5, the secretariat has prepared syntheses and preliminary analyses of reports submitted by affected country Parties of regions other than Africa, setting out the trends emerging in implementation of the Convention.
33- ووفقاً للمقرر 1/م أ-5، أعدت الأمانة التوليفات والتحليلات الأولية للتقارير المقدمة من البلدان الأطراف المتأثرة في المناطق خلاف أفريقيا، مبينةً الاتجاهات التي ظهرت في عملية تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

It is anticipated that this arrangement will result in improved efficiency of the RCUs, and in improvements in their capacity to respond in a more predictable manner to the needs of the affected country Parties of the regions concerned.

Review of the reports by developed country Parties on measures taken to assist in the preparation and implementation of action programmes of affected country Parties of regions other than Africa, including information on financial resources they have provided, or are providing, under the Convention;

This explanatory note and help guide represent the adjusted version of the document ICCD/CRIC(3)/INF.3 and are intended to assist the affected country Parties of regions other than Africa to formulate their national report in preparation for the fifth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 5).

55. Paragraph 5 of decision 3/COP.10 calls on the Executive Secretary, at the request of and in collaboration with the affected country Parties of the regions concerned, to support the effective functioning of the thematic programme networks (TPNs), subject to the provision of the necessary financial and technical support by country Parties.
55- يدعو مؤتمر الأطراف، في الفقرة 5 من المقرر 3/م أ-10، الأمين التنفيذي أن يدعم، بناءً على طلب من البلدان الأطراف المتأثرة في المناطق المعنية وبتعاون معها، الأداء الفعال لشبكات البرامج المواضيعية رهناً بتوفير البلدان الأطراف الدعم المالي والتقني اللازم.

57. In accordance with paragraphs 6 and 7 of decision 3/COP.10, the secretariat invited affected country Parties of the regions and subregions which had not, during COP 10, identified a reporting entity to support the preparation of their subregional and regional reports, to do so as soon as practicable.
57- وفقاً للفقرتين 6 و7 من المقرر 3/م أ-10، دعت الأمانة البلدان الأطراف المتأثرة في المناطق والمناطق دون الإقليمية التي لم تكن قد حددت بعد خلال الدورة العاشرة لمؤتمر الأطراف كياناً مبلغاً لدعم إعداد تقاريرها دون الإقليمية والإقليمية، إلى أن تفعل ذلك في أقرب وقت ممكن عملياً.

Called on the Executive Secretary, at the request of and in collaboration with the affected country Parties of the regions concerned, to support the effective functioning of the thematic programme networks (TPNs), subject to the provision of the necessary financial and technical support by country Parties;
