In this regard, countries have mentioned that the various approaches made to development partners have not yet had any results. At the same time, the bilateral and multilateral donor agencies have indicated that, for their part, numerous initiatives have been taken to provide financial support for the efforts being made by affected African countries.
وفي هذا الصدد، أشارت بلدان الى أن مختلف المساعي التي قامت بها لدى شركائها في التنمية لم تؤت بعد أكلها في حين أشارت الهيئات المانحة الثنائية والمتعددة اﻷطراف من جانبها الى اتخاذ العديد من المبادرات لتقديم الدعم المالي للجهود التي تبذلها البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة.

Considering further the desirability of initiating without delay the implementation of further measures consistent with the objectives of the Convention in and with the affected African countries and of continuing to pursue or strengthen, where necessary, such measures where they are already in place,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها كذلك استصواب الشروع بدون تأخير في تنفيذ مزيد من التدابير بما يتسق مع أهداف الاتفاقية في البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة ومعها ومواصلة أو تعزيز هذه التدابير، حسبما يلزم، حيثما تكون موجودة بالفعل،

2. Other country Parties may provide, on a voluntary basis, technology, knowledge and know-how relating to desertification and/or financial resources, to affected African country Parties.
٢- يجوز لﻷطراف من البلدان اﻷخرى أن تقدم، على أساس طوعي، التكنولوجيا والمعرفة والدراية العملية المتعلقة بالتصحر و/أو الموارد المالية، إلى اﻷطراف من البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة.

2. Other country Parties may provide, on a voluntary basis, technology, knowledge and know-how relating to desertification and/or financial resources, to affected African country Parties.
٢ - يجوز لﻷطراف من البلدان اﻷخرى أن تقدم، على أساس طوعي، التكنولوجيا والمعرفة والدراية العملية المتعلقة بالتصحر و/أو الموارد المالية، إلى اﻷطراف من البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة.

3. Invites the developed countries to provide support to the affected African countries in such actions, including those in capacity-building;
٣ - تدعو البلدان المتقدمة الى تقديم الدعم الى البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة في هذه الاجراءات بما في ذلك الاجراءات في مجال بناء القدرات؛

11. Invites the affected African countries to provide information, at the time of signing the Convention, on the actions that they have taken or propose to take, during the interim period, for the implementation of the present resolution;
١١ - تدعو البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة الى تقديم معلومات، وقت التوقيع على الاتفاقية، عن الاجراءات التي تتخذها أو تقترح اتخاذها، أثناء الفترة المؤقتة، لتنفيذ هذا القرار؛

13. Also invites the affected African countries to propose, as appropriate, additional measures to be taken at the subregional and regional levels in support of national action;
١٣ - تدعو أيضا البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة الى أن تقترح، حسبما يكون ذلك مناسبا، تدابير إضافية تتخذ على الصعيدين دون الاقليمي والاقليمي دعما للاجراءات الوطنية؛

This is expressed in the detailed African annex and in the resolution on urgent action for Africa, which calls for steps to prepare national and subregional action programmes and recommends the establishment of partnership arrangements in the affected African countries.
وقد أعرب عن ذلك في المرفق الافريقي المفصل وفي القرار الذي يتعلق بالعمل العاجل لصالح افريقيا، والذي يدعو إلى اتخاذ خطوات ﻹعداد برامج العمل الوطنية ودون اﻹقليمية ويوصي بإيجاد ترتيبات مشاركة في البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة.

(e) Approval since September 1994 of nine investment projects in affected African countries with a total value of approximately $180 million.
)ﻫ( الموافقة، منذ أيلول/سبتمبر ٤٩٩١، على تسعة مشاريع استثمارية في البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة بقيمة اجمالية قدرها ٠٨١ مليون دولار تقريبا.

2. Invites the affected African countries to take urgent steps, in particular, to prepare national and subregional action programmes or, where action programmes exist, such as national environmental action plans, to review and improve them, if necessary, and implement them, consistent with the objectives of the Convention;
٢ - تدعو البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة الى اتخاذ خطوات عاجلة، وبخاصة، الى إعداد برامج عمل وطنية، ودون اقليمية أو الى القيام حيثما توجد برامج عمل، مثل خطط العمل البيئية الوطنية، باستعراضها وتحسينها، وحيثما يكون ضروريا، بتنفيذها، بما يتسق مع أهداف الاتفاقية؛

Consistent with the resolution on urgent action for Africa, affected African countries provided information, at the time of signature and during subsequent debate at the forty-ninth session of the General Assembly, on the actions they have taken or propose to take, during the interim period, for the implementation of the resolution.
٦- تمشيا مع القرار المتعلق بالاجراءات العاجلة لصالح افريقيا، قدمت البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة معلومات، وقت التوقيع وخلال المناقشة اللاحقة في الدورة التاسعة واﻷربعين للجمعية العامة، بشأن الاجراءات التي اتخذتها أو تعتزم اتخاذها، خلال الفترة المؤقتة، من أجل تنفيذ القرار.

(a) Approval by IFAD’s Executive Board of a pilot technical assistance grant programme to assist affected African countries during the interim period, with an initial allocation of $1.15 million.
)أ( موافقة المجلس التنفيذي للصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية على برنامج إعانة نموذجي في مجال المساعدة التقنية لمساعدة البلدان الافريقية المتأثرة أثناء الفترة المؤقتة، ورصد اعتماد أولي قدره ٥١,١ مليون دولار من دولارات الولايات المتحدة.
