The Caribbean Environment Programme, in collaboration with the UNEP Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-based Activities also assisted in facilitating the development and implementation of national programmes of action for the prevention of pollution from land-based sources and activities.

The fourteenth Intergovernmental Meeting on the Action Plan for the Caribbean Environment Programme and eleventh Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection and Development of the Marine Environment of the Wider Caribbean Region was held in October 2010 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to review the achievements of the Caribbean Environment Programme.
365 - وعُقد الاجتماع الحكومي الدولي الرابع عشر المعني بخطة عمل البرنامج البيئي الكاريبي والاجتماع الحادي عشر للأطراف المتعاقدة في اتفاقية حماية وتنمية البيئة البحرية لمنطقة البحر الكاريبـي الكبرى، في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010 في مونتيغو باي، بجامايكا، من أجل استعراض إنجازات البرنامج البيئي الكاريبي.

The Caribbean Environment Programme has worked to promote the Protocol at the national and regional levels, developing and distributing information and awareness-raising materials, including promotional DVDs, brochures, public service announcements for television and radio, photo slide shows and animations, and a quarterly newsletter of its assessment and management of environmental pollution subprogramme for implementing the Protocol.
