In resolution 2093 (2013), the Council partially suspended the arms embargo for the development of the security forces of the Federal Government of Somalia.
وفي القرار 2093 (2013) علق المجلس جزئيا حظر الأسلحة من أجل تطوير قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية.

The Council also partially lifted for a period of 12 months the arms embargo imposed on the country, in particular on specific supplies intended solely for the development of the security forces of the Federal Government of Somalia and to provide security for the Somali people.
وقرر المجلس أيضا أن يرفع جزئيا لمدة 12 شهرا حظر الأسلحة المفروض على ذلك البلد، ولا سيما الحظر المفروض على إمدادات محددة يكون الغرض منها حصرا هو تطوير قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية وتوفير الأمن للشعب الصومالي.

(a) The structure, strength and composition (including the status of allied militia) of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia, including the names of current commanders, the locations of the headquarters, and the status of militias;

34. Also decides that weapons or military equipment sold or supplied solely for the development of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia may not be resold to, transferred to or made available for use by any individual or entity not in the service of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia;

(b) The infrastructure in place to ensure the safe storage, registration, maintenance and distribution of military equipment by the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia;

8. Further decides that weapons or military equipment sold or supplied solely for the development of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia may not be resold to, transferred to or made available for use by any individual or entity not in the service of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia;
8 - يقرر كذلك أنه لا يجوز إعادة بيع الأسلحة أو المعدات العسكرية التي تباع أو تورد حصرا لتطوير قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية أو نقلها أو إتاحتها للاستخدام لأي فرد أو كيان لا يعمل في خدمة قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية؛

8. Reiterates that weapons or military equipment sold or supplied solely for the development of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia may not be resold to, transferred to, or made available for use by, any individual or entity not in the service of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia;
٨ - يكرر أنه لا يجوز إعادة بيع الأسلحة أو المعدات العسكرية التي تباع أو تورد حصرا لتطوير قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية أو نقلها أو إتاحتها للاستخدام لأي فرد أو كيان لا يعمل في صفوف قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية؛

Decides that weapons or military equipment sold or supplied solely for the development of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia may not be resold to, transferred to, or made available for use by, any individual or entity not in the service of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia;
8 - يقرر أن الأسلحة أو المعدات العسكرية التي تُباع أو تورّد حصرا لتطوير قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية لا يجوز إعادة بيعها أو نقلها أو إتاحتها للاستخدام لأي فرد أو كيان لا يعمل في خدمة قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية؛

12. By its resolution 2093 (2013), adopted on 6 March 2013, the Security Council partially lifted the arms embargo for 12 months for the purpose of building the capacity of the security forces of the Federal Government of Somalia.
12 - ورفع مجلس الأمن، بموجب قراره 2093 (2013)، الذي اتُّخذ في 6 آذار/مارس 2013، الحظر جزئيا عن الأسلحة لمدة 12 شهرا بغرض بناء قدرات قوات الأمن التابعة لحكومة الصومال الاتحادية.

(d) To assist, within its capabilities, and in coordination with other parties, with implementation of the Somali national security plans, through training and mentoring of the Security Forces of the Federal Government of Somalia, including through joint operations;

4. On 5 March 2014, the Security Council adopted resolution 2142 (2014), by which it extended the partial lifting of the arms embargo on Somalia until 25 October 2014, in order to support the development of the security institutions of the Federal Government of Somalia.

30. The Aid Coordination Unit of the Federal Government of Somalia submitted the terms of reference for the Working Group on peacebuilding and State-building goal 2 to the Somali Development and Reconstruction Facility on 3 February for approval, indicating the National Security Adviser as chairperson, with UNSOM providing secretariat support.
