I. INTERNET ACCESS AND USE AND THE GROWTH OF global e-commerce

33- واعتمدت منظمة التجدارة العالمية في مؤتمر وزاري عُقد في أيار/مايو 1998 إعلاناً بشأن التجارة الإلكترونية العالمية(26) يدعو إلى إجراء بحث كامل لجميع القضايا المتصلة بالتجارة فيما يتعلق بالتجارة الإلكترونية العالمية.

As envisaged by the Commission, the substantive item for the Expert Meeting will address recent developments in legal dimensions of electronic commerce at the international level, including their potential impact on developing countries, as well as policies which need to be considered by developing countries and the international community to stimulate participation of small players in global electronic commerce.

6. A conference on the theme " global e-commerce 2002 " was held on 26 and 27 February 2002 with intensive and high-level presentations and expert panels designed especially for diplomats, officials, and senior management executives in the private sector.
6 - وقد انعقد في يومي 26 و 27 شباط/فبراير 2002 مؤتمر تحت شعار " التجارة الإلكترونية العالمية لعام 2000 " اشتمل على عروض مكثفة عالية المستوى بمشاركة أفرقة خبراء وصُمم خصيصا للدبلوماسيين والمسؤولين وكبار الموظفين التنفيذيين في القطاع الخاص.

The Commission will also have before it a note by the Secretariat on the issue of online dispute resolution and, in particular, will inform on the outcome of the colloquium " A fresh look at online dispute resolution (ODR) and global e-commerce " , organized in Vienna on 29-30 March 2010 jointly with the Institute of International Commercial Law (A/CN.9/706).
