70. The Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives is an ongoing partnership between representatives of the cooperative movement, farmers' organizations, cooperative development agencies and the United Nations and its agencies.

1 Established in 1971 as an inter-agency committee, the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives is an ongoing partnership between three United Nations agencies and four international non-governmental organizations, representatives of the cooperative movement:

26. Liaison between intergovernmental programmes and the international cooperative movement should be supported, including, in particular, that achieved through the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives.

14. The Department continued to represent the United Nations in the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC) and to support the Committee's various activities, including its development of an interorganizational programme to improve statistics for and about cooperatives.
١٤ - وواصلت اﻹدارة تمثيل اﻷمم المتحدة في لجنة تعزيز التعاونيات والنهوض بها، وفي دعم مختلف أنشطة اللجنة بما فيها وضع برنامج مشترك بين المنظمات لتحسين الاحصاءات اللازمة للتعاونيات وتلك المتعلقة بها.

The Alliance is a member of the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives, which also includes FAO, ILO and the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat.
التحالف عضو في لجنة تعزيز التعاونيات والنهوض بها، التي تضم في عضويتها أيضا منظمة الأمم المتحدة للأغذية والزراعة ومنظمة العمل الدولية وإدارة الشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بالأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة.

It has strengthened its relationship with the United Nations and its specialized agencies through its participation in the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives in which the United Nations, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and ILO are members.
