2. International space education using nanosatellites

The primary objective of the meeting was to implement a new module, " Himalaya from Space " , for the Eduspace Programme of ESA.
وكان الهدف الرئيسي المنشود من الاجتماع تنفيذ وحدات نمطية دراسية جديدة لبرنامج التعليم الفضائي " الهيمالايا من الفضاء " ، التابع لوكالة الفضاء الأوروبية.

This would include liaison with international space organizations in order to compile the space information index, as well as surveying the state of space education in developing countries.
وسيشمل هذا الأمر الاتصال بالمنظمات الفضائية الدولية بغية جمع مؤشر للمعلومات الفضائية وكذلك استقصاء حالة التعليم الفضائي في البلدان النامية.

23. Within the framework of the space education Project of UNESCO, the first of a series of space education sessions in developing countries was organized in the Philippines in 2004.

An example of a successful and enthusiastic initiative by young space experts was presented by Kevin Hand, of kSpace Education Inc., a small non-profit organization established in November 1999 and dedicated to promoting space education in developing countries.
58- وقدم كيفن هاند من مؤسسة التعليم الفضائي (kSpace Education Inc.)، وهي منظمة صغيرة لا تهدف الى الربح أنشئت في تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 1999 وكُرست لترويج التعليم الفضائي في البلدان النامية.

A movement in the United Kingdom to introduce space education into the educational programmes of young people has been, at least in the initial stages, teacher-driven rather than imposed by the Government.
٦٢ - يوجد في المملكة المتحدة توجه نحو ادراج التعليم الفضائي في البرامج التعليمية لصغار السن كان مدفوعا ، في المراحل اﻷولى على اﻷقل ، بمبادرة ذاتية من المعلمين ، لا بتوجيه مفروض من الحكومة .

At the invitation of the Office for Outer Space Affairs, UNESCO presented its space education Programme at the Fifth Space Conference of the Americas, held in Ecuador in July 2006 and participated in the deliberations of the education committee for the enhancement of space education in Latin America.
87- وبناء على دعوة من مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي، قدّمت اليونسكو عرضا لبرنامجها المتعلق بالتعليم الفضائي أثناء المؤتمر الفضائي الخامس للقارة الأمريكية، الذي عُقد في إكوادور في تموز/يوليه 2006، وشاركت في مداولات لجنة التعليم الرامية إلى تعزيز التعليم الفضائي في أمريكا اللاتينية.

Panel discussions were held on the following topics: (a) how to ensure high mission reliability without increasing cost and development time, (b) international space education using nanosatellites and (c) small satellites and space debris.
49- عُقدت حلقات مناقشة حول المواضيع التالية: (أ) كيفية ضمان موثوقية عالية للبعثات دون رفع التكلفة وزيادة وقت التطوير؛ و(ب) التعليم الفضائي الدولي باستخدام السواتل النانوية؛ و(ج) السواتل الصغيرة والحطام الفضائي.

In the framework of the UNESCO space education Programme, space education workshops were held in Ecuador, Peru and the Syrian Arab Republic in 2009, and workshops are foreseen for Egypt and the Philippines in 2010-2011.
39- وفي إطار برنامج اليونسكو للتعليم الفضائي، عُقدت حلقات عمل في مجال التعليم الفضائي في إكوادور وبيرو والجمهورية العربية السورية في عام 2009، ومن المتوقع عقد حلقات عمل في مصر والفلبين في الفترة 2010-2011.

34. India was also promoting international cooperation in the field of space education, through the Centre for Space Science and Technology Education for Asia and the Pacific, which had been operating in India since 1995 and had imparted skills and knowledge to students, professors and scientists in selected areas of space science and technology aimed at social and economic development.
٣٤ - وأضاف أن الهند تعمل أيضا على تعزيز التعاون الدولي في مجال التعليم الفضائي من خلال مركز تدريس علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء ﻵسيا ومنطقة المحيط الهادئ، الذي باشر منذ ١٩٩٥ العمل في نقل المهارة والمعرفة إلى الطلاب واﻷساتذة والعلماء في الهند في مجالات مختارة من علوم وتكنولوجيا الفضاء المتعلقة بالتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.

40. Japan had also hosted the recent United Nations/International Astronautical Federation Workshop on space education and Capacity Building for Sustainable Development, the object of which was to review educational and capacity-building initiatives carried out by various entities and to seek ways to build synergies among them.
40 - ومضى قائلا إن اليابان استضافت أيضا في الآونة الأخيرة حلقة عمل الاتحاد الدولي للملاحة الفضائية / الأمم المتحدة بشأن التعليم الفضائي وبناء القدرات فيما يتعلق بالتنمية المستدامة، وكان هدفها استعراض المبادرات التعليمية ومبادرات بناء القدرات التي تضطلع بها كيانات مختلفة والبحث عن طرق بناء أشكال التآزر فيما بينها.

Asante Foster (Ghana) made a presentation on the African Youth in Space Initiative Programmes. The initiative had resulted from the success of UNISPACE III in inspiring the world, particularly Africa, to promote the use of space applications to create and promote space education that would support sustainable human development and increase the opportunities for space activities in Africa.
39- وقدّم أسانتي فوستر (غانا) عرضاً عن برامج مبادرة الشباب الأفريقي في الفضاء التي انبثقت عن نجاح اليونيسبيس الثالث في حفز العالم، وخاصة العالم الأفريقي، على تشجيع الاستفادة من التطبيقات الفضائية. وتهدف هذه البرامج إلى إيجاد التعليم الفضائي وتشجيعه، مما سيدعم التنمية البشرية المستدامة ويضاعف فرص تطبيق الأنشطة الفضائية في أفريقيا.

(e) Using Eduspace for community risk prevention and mitigation evaluation;
