3 - تقرر أيضاً تقديم التوصيات التي وُضعت على أساس التوجيهات بشأن كيفية تقييم الآثار المحتمل لتغير المناخ على عمل لجنة استعراض الملوثات العضوية الثابتة إلى مؤتمر الأطراف لينظر فيها إبان اجتماعه السابع.

The Committee may wish: To review the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on its work, as set out in document UNEP/POPS/POPRC.8/INF/20, and endorse it with any amendments it deems necessary;

At its eighth meeting, the Committee reviewed the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on its work and noted that further work is needed to address fully the comments provided by parties and observers.

Having reviewed the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee, and noting that further work was needed to address fully the comments provided by parties and observers, the Committee, by its decision POPRC-8/10, decided to establish an ad hoc working group to revise the draft guidance in accordance with the workplan set out in the annex to the decision.

The interactions between POPs and climate change relevant to consider in the review of the chemicals proposed for listing are described in chapter 4 of the " Draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee " (hereinafter referred to as " Draft Guidance " ).

Regular updating of the draft guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee, in accordance with new scientific findings, new IPCC, Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) and/or UNEP reports and assessments, as well as other regional and national reports and assessments, will be needed;

Adopts the guidance on how to assess the possible impact of climate change on the work of the Persistent Organic Pollutants Review Committee, the approach to the consideration of climate change interactions with the chemicals proposed for listing in Annexes A, B and/or C to the Stockholm Convention, and the recommendations developed on the basis of the guidance as amended at the current meeting;
