٢ - وكان مجلس اﻷمن قد أنشأ، بموجب قراره ٨٤٦ )١٩٩٣( المؤرخ ٢٢ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣، بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أوغندا - رواندا، التي تتمثل ولايتها في وزعها على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود مع رواندا والتحقق من عدم وصول أي مساعدة عسكرية الى رواندا.

2. It will be recalled that UNOMUR was established by the Security Council in its resolution 846 (1993) of 22 June 1993, with the mandate to deploy on the Ugandan side of the border with Rwanda and to verify that no military assistance reached Rwanda.
٢ - ويذكر أن بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أوغندا ورواندا قد أنشئت بموجب قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٨٤٦ )١٩٩٣( المؤرخ ٢٢ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣. وكانت ولايتها تتمثل في أن يجري وزعها على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود مع رواندا، وأن تتحقق من عدم وصول أي مساعدة عسكرية الى رواندا.

2. By its resolution 846 (1993) of 22 June 1993, the Security Council, inter alia, decided to establish UNOMUR, to be deployed on the Ugandan side of the border between Uganda and Rwanda, for an initial period of six months.
٢ - وقرر مجلس اﻷمن، في جملة أمور، بموجب قراره ٨٤٦ )١٩٩٣( المؤرخ ٢٢ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣، أن ينشئ بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في رواندا - أوغندا ليتم وزعها على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود بين أوغندا ورواندا لفترة أولية مدتها ستة أشهر.

1. The present report is submitted in pursuance of paragraph 2 of Security Council resolution 846 (1993) of 22 June 1993, by which the Security Council established the United Nations Observer Mission Uganda-Rwanda (UNOMUR), to be deployed on the Ugandan side of the border for an initial period of six months, subject to review every six months.
١ - هذا التقرير مقدم عملا بالفقرة ٢ من قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٨٤٦ )١٩٩٣( المؤرخ ٢٢ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٣، الذي أنشأ مجلس اﻷمن بموجبه بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أوغندا ورواندا، لوزعها على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود لفترة أولية مدتها ستة أشهر، رهنا باستعراض يجري كل ستة أشهر.

6. In accordance with the concept of operations set out in my report of 20 May 1993 (S/25810), UNOMUR has established observation posts at two major crossing sites, at Katuna and Cyanika, and at three secondary sites, at Bigaga, Kafunzo and Lubirizi, on the Ugandan side of the border.
٦ - ووفقا لمفهوم العمليات المبين في تقريري المؤرخ ٢٠ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٣ )01852/S( أنشأت البعثة نقاط ملاحظة عند موقعي عبور رئيسيين في كاتونا وسيانيكا، وعند ثلاثة مواقع ثانوية في بيجاجا وكافنزو وروبيريزي على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود.

In my interim report to the Security Council on Rwanda, of 20 May 1993 (S/25810) following the mission of my representative, I proposed the establishment of a United Nations observer mission on the Ugandan side of the Rwanda-Uganda border.
ففي تقريري المؤقت الى مجلس اﻷمن عن رواندا المؤرخ ٢٠ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٣ (S/25810) اقترحت، في أعقاب البعثة التي اضطلع بها ممثلي، إنشاء بعثة لمراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود بين رواندا وأوغندا.

Secondly, the Government of Uganda wishes it to be understood that it is not insisting on simultaneous deployment of a United Nations peace-keeping force inside Rwanda and the stationing of an observer contingent on the Uganda side of the common border.
ثانيا، تود حكومة أوغندا أن يكون مفهوما أنها لا تصر على تزامن وزع قوة لحفظ السلم تابعة لﻷمم المتحدة داخل رواندا ومرابطة فرقة مراقبين على الجانب اﻷوغندي من الحدود المشتركة.

9. In 1990, with a view to allaying the Sudan's fears and endless allegations, Uganda invited the Sudan to station a military monitoring team on the Uganda side of our common border.
