37. The Committee noted in its discussions that, as mandated in General Assembly resolution 48/223 B, the complete phasing-out of the scheme of limits would be undertaken in connection with the adoption of the next scale.

51. His delegation was in favour of establishing the floor rate at 0.001 per cent and the ceiling rate for the least developed countries at 0.01 per cent and of entirely phasing out the effects of the scheme of limits in the next scale.

46. The General Assembly had decided to reduce the minimum assessment rate (floor) to 0.001 per cent in the current scale and had recommended that it should be maintained at that rate in the next scale.
٤٦ - وقال إن الجمعية العامة قررت تخفيض المعدل اﻷدنى لﻷنصبة المقررة )الحد اﻷدنى( إلى ٠,٠٠١ في المائة في جدول اﻷنصبة الحالي، وأنها أوصت باﻹبقاء عليه عند هذا المعدل في الجدول المقبل.

74. It was also important for the decision on the elements of the next scale to be reached before the end of the main part of the current session of the General Assembly in view of the time needed to prepare the session of the Committee on Contributions in a scale year.
74 - وأردف يقول إنه من المهم أن يتم التوصل إلى قرار بشأن عناصر الجدول المقبل قبل نهاية الجزء الرئيسي من الدورة الحالية للجمعية العامة وذلك بالنظر للوقت اللازم للتحضير لدورة لجنة الاشتراكات في سنة إعداد الجدول.

His delegation also noted the view of the Committee on Contributions that the current individual rate of assessment of the least developed countries (0.01 per cent) should remain as an element to be considered for the next scale.
وقال إن وفده أحاط علما كذلك برأي لجنة الاشتراكات بأن من الضروري أن يظل معدل اﻷنصبة الراهن لكل بلد من أقل البلدان نموا )٠,٠١ في المائة( أحد العناصر التي تؤخذ في الاعتبار في الجدول المقبل.

In this connection, they also stressed their opinion that those Member States should not be eligible for relief under the low per capita income adjustment, especially in the light of the very low rate of assessment of a few of those Member States in the future scale.
