The relevant decisions were formally communicated to the Framework Convention and also discussed in a note prepared by the Executive Secretary and submitted to the Conference of the Parties of the Framework Convention at its sixth session and its Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice at the second part of its thirteenth session, held in The Hague from 13 to 24 November 2000.

At the 3rd meeting, the Chairman noted that, pursuant to decision 10/CP.2, the secretariat makes available at each session information obtained from the secretariat of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) on the financial support provided to non-Annex I Parties for preparation of their national communications, and stated that a report would be made available for consideration by the SBI at the second part of its thirteenth session.

(c) The SBSTA invited the Chairman, with the assistance of the secretariat, to organize an informal meeting and brief presentation at the second part of its thirteenth session on the outcome of the three regional workshops that had been held on the transfer of technology consultative process (one in Africa, one in Asia and the Pacific, and one in Latin America and the Caribbean);
