It is expected that the Council will consider the report of the Trade and Development Board on the second part of its forty-first session (Geneva, 27 March-7 April 1995) and transmit directly to the General Assembly the report of the Board on the first part of its forty-second session (Geneva, 11-22 September 1995).

The Economic and Social Council decides to consider at its substantive session of 1994 the report of the Trade and Development Board on the second part of its fortieth session and to authorize the Secretary-General to transmit directly to the General Assembly at its forty-ninth session the report of the Board on the first part of its forty-first session.

29. At the 47th meeting, on 28 July, on the proposal of the President, the Council took note of the report of the Trade and Development Board on the second part of its fortieth session.

4. Volume II of the report of the Board on the second part of its fortieth session (TD/B/40(2)/24 (Vol. II) reflects all the statements made in the course of the session on the various items of the agenda.

6. At its 846th (opening) meeting, on 19 September 1994, the Board elected as President of its fortieth session, by acclamation, Mr. Richard A. Pierce (Jamaica), who, in accordance with the provisions of Board decision 338 (XXXIII), had been designated by the Board at the second part of its fortieth session on 29 April 1994.

34. At its 841st (closing) meeting, on 29 April 1994, the Trade and Development Board adopted the draft report on the second part of its fortieth session (TD/B/40(2)/L.2 and Add.1-5), authorizing the Rapporteur to complete the final report with the proceedings of the closing plenary meeting and to incorporate any amendments submitted by delegations.
٤٣ - اعتمد مجلس التجارة والتنمية في جلسته )الختامية( ١٤٨ المعقودة في ٩٢ نيسان/أبريل ٤٩٩١ مشروع التقرير عن الجزء الثاني من دورته اﻷربعين )2.L/)2(04/B/DT و5-1.ddA( وأذن للمقرر باستكمال التقرير النهائي بأعمال الجلسة العامة الختامية وبإدخال ما تقدمه الوفود من تعديلات.

Having responded to the above at the second part of its fortieth session the Board, in its decision 412(XL), of 29 April 1994, inter alia made a series of recommendations to the General Assembly concerning the High-level Intergovernmental Meeting; and requested the Secretary-General of UNCTAD to submit to the Board, at the second part of its forty-first session, a report on the progress made in the implementation of the decision.
وقد استجاب المجلس للطلب المذكور أعلاه في الجزء الثاني من دورته اﻷربعين فأورد في مقرره ٢١٤ )د-٠٤( المؤرخ في ٩٢ نيسان/أبريل ٤٩٩١، في جملة أمور، سلسلة من التوصيات الى الجمعية العامة حول الاجتماع الحكومي الدولي الرفيع المستوى؛ وطلب الى اﻷمين العام لﻷونكتاد أن يقدم الى المجلس، في الجزء الثاني من دورته الحادية واﻷربعين، تقريرا عن التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ المقرر.
