In that context, the Egyptian delegation regrets the failure of States to agree on a reference to that principle -- as stipulated in article 42 of the Convention on the Law of the Sea -- in the draft resolution of the General Assembly for this session and hopes that the issue will be addressed in a draft resolution in the next session.

7. As shown in annex I, an amount of $245,447,700 gross ($242,110,600 net) was appropriated by the General Assembly for this period.
٧ - وعلى النحـو الوارد في المرفـق اﻷول، يلاحـظ أن ثمة مبلغـا إجماليه ٧٠٠ ٤٤٧ ٢٤٥ دولار )صافيه ٦٠٠ ١١٠ ٢٤٢ دولار( قد تم تخصيصه من قبل الجمعية العامة لهذه الفترة.

The Chairman (spoke in French): I thank the President of the General Assembly for his efforts to bring about a comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the question of Palestine and for the unwavering support of the General Assembly for this noble cause.
