In this connection, the Committee recalls that the General Assembly, in paragraph 5 of its resolution 49/216 A of 23 December 1994, had requested the Board to report to the Assembly at its fifty-first session on the action taken on the recommendations of the Board.

131. In view of the adoption of the Habitat Agenda at Habitat II, the Committee recommended to the General Assembly that the programme be revised to reflect the consensus reached at the Conference and that it be submitted to the Assembly at its fifty-first session for approval.
١٣١ - نظرا ﻹقرار جدول أعمال الموئل في مؤتمر الموئل الثاني، أوصت اللجنة الجمعية العامة بأن ينقح البرنامج ليتجلى فيه توافق اﻵراء الذي جرى التوصل إليه في المؤتمر وبأن يقدم إلى الجمعية في دورتها الحادية والخمسين للموافقة عليه.

2. In addition, in paragraph 9 of its resolution 50/206 A of 23 December 1995, the General Assembly requested the Secretariat to take the measures recommended by the Committee on Conferences to enhance utilization of conference-servicing resources and to report thereon to the Assembly at its fifty-first session through the Committee.

8. In section V, paragraph 4, of resolution 47/216, the General Assembly requested the Commission to report on its review of the mobility and hardship scheme to the Assembly at its fifty-first session and to include the following elements in the review:

The present report focuses on the activities of the Standing Advisory Committee since the submission, on 14 August 1996, of the Secretary-General's previous report to the Assembly at its fifty-first session (A/51/287).

2. The General Assembly called upon the Secretary-General to continue to mobilize international humanitarian, rehabilitation and reconstruction assistance for Somalia and, in view of the critical situation in the country, to apprise the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session of 1996 of the progress made in the implementation of the resolution and to report thereon to the Assembly at its fifty-first session.
٢ - وطلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل على الصعيد الدولي تعبئة المساعدة الانسانية ومساعدات الانعاش والتعمير في الصومال، ونظرا للحالة الحرجة في البلاد، أن يطلع المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في دورته الموضوعية لعام ١٩٩٦، على التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ القرار وأن يقدم تقريرا عن ذلك الى الجمعية في دورتها الحادية والخمسين.

40. Finally, as regards requests by both the Assembly and the Council for proposals to simplify existing reporting requirements, the Secretary-General has elaborated on this matter in detail in his progress report to the Assembly at its fiftieth session (A/50/697 and Corr.1, sect. F) and has reaffirmed the recommendations in his report to the Assembly at its fifty-first session (A/51/501, sect. C).
