46. Ms. Hijran Huseynova (Azerbaijan) said that women were just as guilty of harbouring negative gender stereotypes.

The existence of legal restrictions on access to sexual and reproductive health information and education lead to the provision of inaccurate information through informal sources that are often inaccurate and may reinforce negative gender stereotypes.
وأدى وجود قيود قانونية على الحصول على المعلومات المتعلقة بالصحة والتربية الجنسية والإنجابية إلى تقديم معلومات غير صحيحة من خلال مصادر غير رسمية، اتصفت بعدم الدقة في كثير من الأحيان، وقد تؤدي إلى تعزيز الصور النمطية الجنسانية السلبية.

The Strategy aims to work with men and boys on changing their attitudes as a key factor in addressing negative gender norms that keep young women at increased vulnerability of early marriage, harmful traditional practices, and limited agency over their reproductive lives.

21. Recalling that combating negative gender stereotypes is one of the most important factors of social advancement, the Committee reiterates its recommendation that the State party:
21- إن اللجنة، إذ تشير إلى أن مكافحة القوالب النمطية الجنسانية السلبية تشكل عاملاً من أهم عوامل النهوض الاجتماعي، تعيد تأكيد توصيتها التي تدعو الدولة الطرف إلى ما يلي:

Please inform the Committee of the nature and the impact of measures taken to address the negative gender stereotypes and the persistence of discriminatory attitudes resulting in women's inferior role in the family and society.
6- يرجى إبلاغ اللجنة بطبيعة وأثر التدابير التي اتخذت للتصدي للقوالب النمطية الجنسانية السلبية واستمرار المواقف التمييزية المتسببة في تدني دور المرأة في الأسرة والمجتمع.

20. The Committee notes the information provided by the State party regarding its efforts to eliminate negative gender stereotypes in the media and its willingness, as expressed by the State party's delegation, to address the exposure of lesbian women and women with disabilities to negative stereotypes.
20 - تحيط اللجنة علماً بالمعلومات التي قدمتها الدولة الطرف فيما يتعلق بجهودها الرامية إلى القضاء على القوالب النمطية الجنسانية السلبية في وسائل الإعلام، واستعدادها، وفق ما عبر عنه وفد الدولة الطرف، لمعالجة تعرض السحاقيات والنساء ذوات الإعاقة لقوالب نمطية سلبية.

82. Though recent years had seen great progress, the underlying structural causes of violence against women and girls must still be tackled, including negative gender norms and stereotypes and harmful cultural practices.
82 - وأوضح أنه برغم ما شهدته السنوات الأخيرة من تقدُّم كبير فإن الأسباب الهيكلية الكامنة وراء العنف ضد المرأة والفتاة لا بد من معالجتها، بما في ذلك المعايير والصور النمطية الجنسانية السلبية المقولبة والممارسات الثقافية الضارة.

(b) Exacerbation of the impact of negative gender stereotypes on the lives of women and girls during the conflict, owing to fear of being kidnapped or raped or fear of stigmatization when women and girls in a family have been arrested;
(ب) تفاقم أثر الصور النمطية الجنسانية السلبية على حياة النساء والأطفال أثناء النزاع، جرَّاء الخوف من التعرض للاختطاف أو الاغتصاب أو الخوف من التشهير بالأسرة عندما يلقى القبض على نساء تلك الأسرة وفتياتها؛

20. At its 28th meeting, on 13 July, the Council held a panel discussion on the theme " Countering gender discrimination and negative gender stereotypes: effective policy responses " , chaired by Vice-President of the Council Abulkalam Abdul Momen (Bangladesh).
20 - في الجلسة 28، المعقودة في 13 تموز/يوليه، عقد المجلس حلقة نقاش عن موضوع " مكافحة التمييز بين الجنسين والتنميطات الجنسانية السلبية: استجابات فعالة على صعيد السياسات " ، برئاسة أبو الكلام عبد المؤمن (بنغلاديش)، نائب رئيس المجلس.

Such measures should include awareness-raising and public educational campaigns on the subject, targeting both men and women, political and community leaders, and Government officials and practitioners, including through the media and the use of curriculums, which continue to perpetuate negative gender stereotypes in schools.
وينبغي أن تشمل هذه التدابير زيادة الوعي والحملات التثقيفية العامة حول هذا الموضوع، وأن تستهدف الرجال والنساء معا، والقادة السياسيين وقادة المجتمع المحلي والمسؤولين الحكوميين والممارسين، عبر سبل منها وسائل الإعلام واستخدام المناهج الدراسية، وهي مناهج لا تزال تكرس الصور النمطية الجنسانية السلبية في المدارس.

46. Several programmes have been developed to involve men and boys, including in bystander programmes, which encourage men to address attitudes that perpetuate negative gender stereotypes with their peers, as well as in community mobilization and awareness-raising campaigns.
46 - ووُضِعَت عدة برامج لإشراك الرجال والفتيان، من بينها برامج الحث على المشاركة لا الفرجة، التي تشجع الرجال على معالجة المواقف التي تديم القوالب النمطية الجنسانية السلبية مع أقرانهم()، وبرامج تعبئة المجتمع المحلي وحملات التوعية.
