2. Preparations for the first Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of small island Developing States on the basis of General Assembly resolution 47/189 and taking into account other relevant General Assembly resolutions:
٢ - اﻷعمال التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي اﻷول المعني بالتنمية المستدامة للدول الجُزرية الصغيرة النامية على أساس قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٧/١٨٩ مع مراعاة قرارات الجمعية العامة اﻷخرى ذات الصلة:

The programme will continue to pay particular attention to the overall objective of promoting sustainable development, in particular to eradicate poverty and to address the special needs of Africa, the least developed countries, the land-locked transit developing countries and the small island developing States, as well as to the promotion of South-South cooperation.
وسيستمر البرنامج في إيلاء اهتمام خاص للهدف العام المتمثل في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة لا سيما في مجالات القضاء على الفقر، ومعالجة الاحتياجات الخاصة لأفريقيا وأقل البلدان نموا، وبلدان المرور العابر غير الساحلية النامية، والدول الجُزرية الصغيرة النامية، والنهوض بالتعاون فيما بين بلدان الجنوب.

5. The General Assembly deplores the continued alienation of land in colonial and Non-Self-Governing Territories, particularly in the small island Territories of the Pacific and Caribbean regions, for military installations.
5 - وتعلن الجمعية العامة عن استيائها من استمرار نقل ملكية الأراضي في الأقاليم المستعمرة وغير المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي، ولا سيما في الأقاليم الجُزرية الصغيرة في منطقتي المحيط الهادئ والبحر الكاريبي، لأغراض إقامة المنشآت العسكرية.

Millennium Development Goal 8, on global partnerships, included some useful indicators on aid, trade, debt and technology transfer, as well as on the need for special and differential treatment for least developed countries, including land-locked and small island developing States.
ويتضمن الهدف 8 من الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية المتعلق بالشراكات العالمية بعض المؤشرات المفيدة المتعلقة بالمساعدات والتجارة والدين ونقل التكنولوجيا إضافة إلى ضرورة معاملة أقل البلدان نمواً معاملة خاصة وتفضيلية، بما فيها الدول النامية غير الساحلية والدول الجُزرية الصغيرة النامية.

The Preparatory Committee requests the Secretary-General to transmit the draft programme of action for the sustainable development of small island developing States, as amended during the resumed first session of the Preparatory Committee, to the Conference for its consideration and appropriate action.
تطلب اللجنة التحضرية الى اﻷمين العام أن يحيل مشروع برنامج العمل من أجل التنمية المستدامة للدول الجُزرية الصغيرة النامية، بصيغته المعدلة خلال الدورة اﻷولى المستأنفة للجنة التحضيرية، الى المؤتمر للنظر واتخاذ اﻹجراء المناسب.

اﻷعمال التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي اﻷول المعني بالتنمية المستدامة للدول الجُزرية الصغيرة الناميــة على أســاس قـرار الجمعية العامة ٤٧/١٨٩ المؤرخ ٢٢ كانــون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٢ مع مراعاة قرارات الجمعية العامة الاخرى ذات الصلة

56. At its resumed first session, the Preparatory Committee for the Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of small island Developing States adopted 8 decisions which are before the Conference for its consideration and appropriate action, as follows:
٥٦ - في الدورة اﻷولى المستأنفة، اعتمدت اللجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي المعني بالتنمية المستدامة للدول الجُزرية الصغيرة النامية ٨ مقررات معروضة على المؤتمر للنظر واتخاذ الاجراء المناسب، وهي على النحو التالي:

5 - وتعلن اللجنة الخاصة عن استيائها من استمرار نقل ملكية الأراضي في الأقاليم المستعمرة وغير المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي، ولا سيما في الأقاليم الجُزرية الصغيرة في منطقتي المحيط الهادئ والبحر الكاريبي، لإقامة المنشآت العسكرية.

Several delegations continued to raise concern over the declining regular (core) resource base, which was especially critical for the least development countries and small island developing states, and urged Member States to raise their level of contributions.
وواصلت عدة وفود إثارة القلق بشأن انخفاض قاعدة الموارد العادية (الأساسية)، إذ أن هذه القاعدة ذات أهمية حاسمة بشكل خاص لأقل البلدان نموا والدول الجُزرية الصغيرة النامية، وحثت الدول الأعضاء على رفع مستوى مساهماتها.
