Over recent years, the Administrative Review Unit was not staffed adequately to prepare a substantive review in writing before an appeal was filed, owing not only to the greater number of requests for review but to the substantial increase in the number of appeals and especially disciplinary cases also handled by that Unit.
ولم يتوافر لوحدة استعراض الاجراءات اﻹدارية، على مدى اﻷعوام اﻷخيرة، ما يكفي من الموظفين ﻹعداد استعراض موضوعي مكتوب قبل تقديم الطعن، ويرجع ذلك الى زيادة عدد الطلبات بإجراء استعراضات فحسب وكذلك الى الزيادة الكبيرة في عدد الطعون ولا سيما الحالات التأديبية التي تتولاها هذه الوحدة أيضا.

96. The Department of Peacekeeping Operations accepted this recommendation and stated that it had started preliminary consultations with OIOS and the Office of Human Resources Management to develop appropriate benchmarks to guide the handling of disciplinary cases.
96 - قبِلت إدارة عمليات حفظ السلام هذه التوصية وأشارت إلى أنها شرعت في مشاورات أولية مع مكتب خدمات الرقابة الداخلية ومكتب إدارة الموارد البشرية لوضع الأسس المرجعية المناسبة لتوجيه معالجة الحالات التأديبية.

3. A broad overview of the administrative machinery in disciplinary matters is provided in section II below so that the summary of the Secretary-General's practice in disciplinary cases provided in section III can be understood in context.
3 - وترد في الفرع الثاني أدناه نظرة عامة شاملة على الجهاز الإداري المختص بالمسائل التأديبية، وذلك من أجل أن يُفهَم موجز ممارسات الأمين العام في الحالات التأديبية والوارد في الفرع الثاني في سياقه الصحيح.
