4. At the 68th meeting, on 29 May, the representative of Zimbabwe and coordinator of the informal consultations on draft resolution A/C.5/52/L.7, entitled " Third-party liability: temporal and financial limitations " , introduced the draft resolution on behalf of the Chairman.
٤ - في الجلسة ٦٨، المعقودة يوم ٢٩ أيار/ مايو، قام ممثل زمبابوي، منسق المشاورات غير الرسمية المتعلقة بمشروع القرار A/C.5/52/L.7 المعنون " المسؤولية قبل الغير: الحدود الزمنية والمالية " ، بعرض مشروع القرار نيابة عن الرئيس.

31. The Chairman suggested that, in the light of the statement made by the representative of Mexico, the Committee should defer to the second part of its resumed session consideration of the question of third-party liability: temporal and financial limitations.
٣١ - الرئيس: اقترح في ضوء البيان الذي أدلى به ممثل المكسيك، أن ترجئ اللجنة إلى الجزء الثاني من دورتها المستأنفة النظر في مسألة المسؤولية قبل الغير: الحدود الزمنية والمالية.

39. A General Assembly resolution stipulating the temporal and financial limitations is necessary to give the Organization the legislative authority for limiting its liability vis-à-vis Member States.
٣٩- إن إصدار قرار من الجمعية العامة ينص على الحدود الزمنية والمالية أمر ضروري لتخويل المنظمة السلطة التشريعية من أجل تحديد مسؤولياتها تجاه الدول اﻷعضاء.

For the reasons stated by the Secretary-General, the Advisory Committee also recommends that the General Assembly consider the adoption of a resolution stipulating the temporal and financial limitations of the Organization as proposed by the Secretary-General in paragraph 47 of his report.

47. The actions to be taken by the General Assembly are: (a) to endorse the modalities of establishing the financial and temporal limitations in legally binding instruments proposed in section IV and (b) to adopt a resolution stipulating the temporal and financial limitations of the Organization.
٤٧- الاجراءات التي ستتخذها الجمعية العامة هي: )أ( اعتماد طرائق تقرير الحدود المالية والزمنية في صكوك ملزمة قانونيا مقترحة في الفرع الرابع؛ و )ب( اعتماد قرار ينص على الحدود الزمنية والمالية التي ستعمل بها المنظمة.

49. With regard to the Special Committee’s call for early consideration of United Nations liability and procedures for settlements of claims, on 26 June 1998, the General Assembly adopted resolution 52/247, entitled “Third-party liability: temporal and financial limitations”.
٤٩ - وفيما يتعلق بطلب اللجنة الخاصة النظر بصورة مبكـرة في مسؤوليــة اﻷمـم المتحـدة وإجراءاتها فيما يتعلق بتسوية المطالبات، اتخذت الجمعية العامة، في ٢٦ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨ القرار ٥٢/٢٤٧، بشأن " المسؤولية قبل الغير: الحدود الزمنية والمالية " .

In that resolution, the General Assembly took note of my report on third-party liability (A/51/903) and endorsed my proposals for implementing the principles of temporal and financial limitations on the liability of the Organization with regard to personal injury, illness or death and property loss or damage resulting from peacekeeping operations.
