In 2001, women held the ministerial portfolios of agriculture and the environment, health and welfare, and finance; in 2005, those of education, health, welfare and the family, higher education and research, housing and youth; and in 2007, those of education, vocational training, youth and sport, health, social welfare, the family and housing, and foreign affairs.
