With regard to funding, the General Assembly decided that the resources necessary to service the normative intergovernmental processes would be funded from the regular budget while those required to service the operational intergovernmental processes and operational activities at all levels would be funded from voluntary contributions.

48. The outcome of the review was that, in the majority of instances, all functions defined above contribute to a combination of normative intergovernmental processes, operational intergovernmental processes and operational activities.

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 64/289 (para. 75), the resources required to service the normative intergovernmental processes should be funded from the regular budget and approved by the Assembly; the resources required to service the operational intergovernmental processes and operational activities at all levels shall be funded from voluntary contributions and approved by the Executive Board.

2. The Advisory Committee recalls that UN-Women has two funding sources: (a) the regular budget, to service the normative intergovernmental processes; and (b) voluntary contributions, to service the operational intergovernmental processes and operational activities.
2 - وتذكّر اللجنة الاستشارية بأن هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة لديها مصدرين للتمويل هما: (أ) الميزانية العادية وسوف يجري في سياقها توفير الموارد اللازمة لخدمة العمليات الحكومية الدولية المعيارية؛ و (ب) التبرعات وسوف يُستعان بها في توفير الموارد اللازمة لخدمة العمليات الحكومية الدولية التنفيذية والأنشطة التنفيذية.

In this connection, the Committee recalls that in the case of UN-Women, the General Assembly decided that the resources required to service the normative intergovernmental processes would be funded from the regular budget and approved by the Assembly, while the resources required to service the operational intergovernmental processes and operational activities at all levels would be funded from voluntary contributions (resolution 64/289).
وفي هذا الصدد، تشير اللجنة إلى أنه، في حالة هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة، قررت الجمعية العامة أن تمول الموارد اللازمة للعمليات الحكومية الدولية المعيارية من الميزانية العادية وأن تحظى بموافقة الجمعية، على أن تموَّل الموارد اللازمة لتقديم الخدمات للعمليات الحكومية الدولية التنفيذية والأنشطة التنفيذية على جميع المستويات من التبرعات (القرار 64/289).
