30. With a view to facilitating the participation of experts in expert meetings and thereby helping to improve the effectiveness of these meetings, member States are encouraged to explore means of enhancing such participation, including through contributions to the trust fund established by the Secretary-General of UNCTAD and other resources possible to finance the participation of experts from developing countries.
٠٣- ومن أجل تيسير مشاركة الخبراء في اجتماعات الخبراء وبالتالي المساعدة في تحسين فعالية هذه الاجتماعات، تشجﱠع الدول اﻷعضاء على استكشاف سبل لتعزيز هذه المشاركة، بطرائق منها المساهمة في الصندوق الاستئماني الذي أنشأه اﻷمين العام لﻷونكتاد والموارد اﻷخرى الممكنة لتمويل مشاركة خبراء من البلدان النامية.

With regard to financing the participation of experts in expert meetings, members agreed to find, by the end of 2002, a long-term solution for predictable financing of the participation of experts in intergovernmental expert meetings based on the principle of equitable geographical representation, beneficiary needs, in particular LDCs, and the expertise of the experts concerned.
وفيما يتعلق بتمويل مشاركة خبراء في اجتماعات الخبراء، اتفق الأعضاء على أن يجدوا، قبيل نهاية عام 2002، حلاً طويل الأجل لمسألة التمويل الذي يمكن التنبؤ به لمشاركة الخبراء في اجتماعات الخبراء الحكومية الدولية، استناداً إلى مبدأ التوزيع الجغرافي العادل، واحتياجات المستفيدين، وبخاصة أقل البلدان نمواً، والخبرة التي يتمتع بها الخبراء المعنيون.

Funding According to Board decision 474 (S-XX), participation of experts in expert meetings in 2003 was to be funded by extrabudgetary contributions, with the reserve fund to be used only if extrabudgetary contributions were not sufficient to cover all expert meetings.
4- وفقاً لمقرر المجلس 474 (د إ-20)، ستمول مشاركة الخبراء في اجتماعات الخبراء في عام 2003 من تبرعات خارجة عن الميزانية، ولن يستخدم الصندوق الاحتياطي إلا إذا كانت التبرعات الخارجة عن الميزانية غير كافية لتغطية جميع اجتماعات الخبراء.
