واﻷسلحة الفائضة هي تلك اﻷسلحة التي تعتبر زائدة عن احتياجات الدفاع المشروعة للدولة على النحو المحدد في اتفاق السلام:

Mr. Rao (India) said that India supported the approach adopted in amended Protocol II of balancing humanitarian concerns on landmines and legitimate defence requirements, particularly of States with long borders.
