واقتناعا منها بأن رغبات شعوب الأقاليم وتطلعاتها ينبغي أن تظل الدليل الهادي لتطور مركزها السياسي في المستقبل وبأن عمليات الاستفتاء والانتخابات الحرة والنـزيهة، وغيرها من أشكال التشاور الشعبي تؤدي دورا هاماً في التحقق من رغبات الشعب وتطلعاته،

Convinced that the wishes and aspirations of the peoples of the Territories should continue to guide the development of their future political status and that referendums, free and fair elections and other forms of popular consultation play an important role in ascertaining the wishes and aspirations of the people,
وإقتناعا منها بأن رغبات وتطلعات شعوب الأقاليم ينبغي أن تظل الدليل الهادي لتطور مركزها السياسي في المستقبل وبأن عمليات الاستفتاء، والانتخابات الحرة النزيهة، وغيرها من أشكال التشاور الشعبي تؤدي دورا هاما في التحقق من رغبات الشعوب وتطلعاتها،

3. Reaffirms that Article 101, paragraph 3, of the Charter of the United Nations should guide the SecretaryGeneral in his policy for recruiting the staff of the Organization, mindful of the criteria of equitable geographical distribution;
3- تؤكد مجدداً أن الفقرة 3 من المادة 101 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة ينبغي أن تكون هي الدليل الهادي للأمين العام في سياسته الخاصة بتعيين موظفي المنظمة، واضعاً في اعتباره معايير التوزيع الجغرافي العادل؛
