٨٥- كما طلبت الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ من اﻷمانة إعداد تقرير مرحلي عن اﻷنشطة ذات التنفيذ المشترك لدورتها المقبلة التي ستُعقد في فترة تسبق مباشرة الدورة الثانية لمؤتمر اﻷطراف.

In decision 24/COP.1, the secretariat was requested, in consultation with the organization housing the Global Mechanism, as well as the two other collaborating organizations, to develop a memorandum of understanding between the COP and IFAD for consideration and adoption at the second session of the COP.
وقد طُلب إلى اﻷمانة، في المقرر ٤٢/م أ-١، أن تقوم، بالتشاور مع المنظمة التي ستؤوي اﻵلية العالمية ومع المؤسستين المتعاونتين اﻷخريتين، بوضع مذكرة تفاهم بين مؤتمر اﻷطراف والصندوق الدولي للتنمية الزراعية للنظر فيها وإقرارها في الدورة الثانية لمؤتمر اﻷطراف.

5. Requests the organization housing the Global Mechanism to report to the second session of the COP on modalities regarding collaboration between itself and the NGO community, as well as collaboration with other interested organizations, including the private sector.
٥- يرجو من المؤسسة التي تؤوي اﻵلية العالمية أن تقدم إلى الدورة الثانية لمؤتمر اﻷطراف تقريراً عن الطرائق المتعلقة بالتعاون بينها وبين مجتمع المنظمات غير الحكومية، باﻹضافة إلى التعاون مع سائر المنظمات المهتمة، بما في ذلك القطاع الخاص.

That each national communication submitted by an Annex I Party should be subject to an in-depth review as soon as possible, but within one year of receipt by the secretariat, with the aim of completion by the second session of the COP (COP 2).

The SBI encouraged Parties included in Annex I to the Convention to submit second national communications and inventory data by 15 April 1997 or the other date determined by decision 9/CP.2 of the second session of the COP for Parties with economies in transition.

ستُعقد الدورة الثانية لمؤتمر اﻷطراف في اتفاقية اﻷمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر بقصر مؤتمرات فندق ميريديان بريزيدان (Méridien Président) الواقع ببوانت دي ألمادي (Pointe des Almadies)، على بعد ٥١ دقيقة من وسط داكار.

31. The second session of the Conference of Parties would provide an opportunity for an exchange of experience and a reaffirmation of commitments and agreement on ways and means to strengthen the Convention.
