The Board recommends that the Economic Commission for Europe and the International Road Transport Union review the practical arrangements of the agreement between the two organizations with a view to abiding strictly by the provisions of the TIR Convention.

In the light of the conclusions of the internal audit, the Board recommends that the Economic Commission for Europe reassess the relevance of continuing its agreement with the International Road Transport Union.

Objective, geographical extension, priorities: the objective of the International Road Transport Union is to contribute, in the interest of society as a whole, to the development and prosperity, in all countries, of domestic and International Road Transport and to safeguard the role of road transport for hire and reward and on a person's own account.

12 - تعرب عن تقديرها للمبادرات المشتركة بين منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي والاتحاد الدولي للنقل على الطرق لإعادة تنشيط مبادرة طريق الحرير عن طريق بدء قافلة النقل بالشاحنات في إطار مبادرة طريق الحرير التابعة لمنظمة التعاون الاقتصادي وتنظيم الندوة الدولية المتعلقة بمبادرة طريق الحرير في طهران في عام 2010، وتدعو وكالات الأمم المتحدة ومؤسساتها المعنية إلى دعم هذه المبادرات؛
