They draw attention to the need for Member States to ensure that criminal law is used appropriately and effectively to criminalize various forms of violence against children, including forms of violence prohibited by international law.
وهي تلفت الانتباهَ إلى ضرورة أن تكفل الدولُ الأعضاءُ استخدامَ القانون الجنائي استخداماً ملائماً وناجعاً من أجل تجريم شتَّى أشكال العنف التي تمارَس ضد الأطفال، بما فيها أشكالُ العنف التي يحظرها القانون الدولي.

24. With respect to criminal proceedings in matters involving child victims of violence, Member States are urged, as appropriate and while taking into consideration relevant international human rights instruments:
٢٤- فيما يخص الإجراءات الجنائية في الأمور التي تنطوي على أطفال ضحايا للعنف، تُحَثُّ الدولُ الأعضاءُ على القيام، عند الاقتضاء ومع مراعاتها صكوكَ حقوقِ الإنسان الدوليةَ ذاتَ الصلة، بما يلي:

33. Member States are urged to effectively prohibit the use of all forms of violence, torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment to obtain information, extract confessions, coerce a child into acting as an informant or agent for the police, or engage a child in activities against his or her will.
33- وتُحثُّ الدولُ الأعضاءُ على فرض حظر فعَّال على استخدام كل أشكال العنف والتعذيب أو المعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة من أجل الحصول على معلومات وانتزاع اعترافات وإجبار الطفل على العمل مخبراً أو عميلاً للشرطة أو حمل الطفل على الاضطلاع بأنشطة معيَّنة على كُرْه منه.

46. Member States are encouraged to ensure that there is a clear and sustained commitment and obligation at all levels of justice institutions to prevent and address violence against children, including in a child- and gender-sensitive manner.
46- وتشجَّع الدولُ الأعضاءُ على ضمان وجود تعهد والتزام واضحين ومستدامين على جميع المستويات في مؤسسات العدالة بمنع العنف ضد الأطفال والتصدِّي له على نحو يراعي احتياجات الطفل والمتطلَّبات الجنسانية.

Member States provided relevant information to the Commission at its twentieth session (see E/CN.15/2011/15).
وقد وافت الدولُ الأعضاءُ اللجنةَ في دورتها العشرين بالمعلومات ذات الصلة (انظر الوثيقة E/CN.15/2011/15).

The Institute continues to face the challenge of translating the political and moral support of all Member States into sustainable sources of funding.

18. ١٨- تُحَثُّ الدولُ الأعضاءُ ومعاهدُ شبكة برنامج الأمم المتحدة لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية والكياناتُ المعنيةُ في منظومة الأمم المتحدة والمنظماتُ الدوليةُ الأخرى ومعاهدُ البحوث والمنظماتُ غير الحكومية وغيرها من الرابطات المهنية ذات الصلة، على القيام، عند الاقتضاء، بما يلي:

22. In order to effectively investigate and prosecute incidents of violence against children and bring the perpetrators to justice, Member States are urged, as appropriate and while taking into consideration relevant international human rights instruments:
٢٢- حتى تكون التحقيقات والمقاضاة في حوادث العنف ضد الأطفال فعَّالةً وقادرةً على تقديم مرتكبيها للعدالة تُحَثُّ الدولُ الأعضاءُ على القيام، عند الاقتضاء ومع مراعاتها صكوكَ حقوقِ الإنسان الدوليةَ ذاتَ الصلة، بما يلي:

43. Given the crucial importance of providing children who report abuse and incidents of violence within the justice system with immediate protection, support and counselling, Member States are urged, as appropriate and while taking into consideration relevant international human rights instruments:
43- نظراً لما لمسألة الإسراع فوراً بتوفير الحماية والدعم والإرشاد للأطفال الذين يُبلِّغون عن حوادث اعتداء وعنف تعرَّضوا لها داخل نظام العدالة من أهمية حاسمة، تُحثُّ الدولُ الأعضاءُ على القيام، عند الاقتضاء ومع مراعاتها صكوكَ حقوقِ الإنسان الدوليةَ ذاتَ الصلة، بما يلي:

45. Member States are urged to take all appropriate measures to combat impunity and the tolerance of violence against children within the justice system, including through awareness-raising programmes, education and effective prosecution of violent offences committed against children within the justice system.
45- تُحَثُّ الدولُ الأعضاءُ على اتخاذ جميع التدابير الملائمة من أجل مكافحة الإفلات من العدالة والتساهل مع العنف الذي يمارَس ضد الأطفال داخل نظام العدالة، وذلك بطرائق منها إنشاء برامج توعية وتثقيف، والمقاضاة الفعَّالة لمرتكبي حوادث العنف ضد الأطفال داخل نظام العدالة.
