In the area of the advancement of women, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women had served as the principal international legal instrument for the protection and promotion of women's human rights, and the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women had played a major role in overseeing the implementation of the Convention by States parties.
73 - وفي مجال النهوض بالمرأة، كانت اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة بمثابة الصك القانوني الدولي الرئيسي لحماية حقوق الإنسان للمرأة وتعزيزها، وقامت اللجنة المعنية بالقضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة بدور رئيسي في مراقبة تنفيذ الدول الأطراف للاتفاقية.

Information was also provided regarding the submission on 27 July 2007 of the initial report on the implementation of provisions of the Convention to the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, which monitors the implementation of the Convention by States parties thereto.
كما وردت معلومات أيضا تتعلق بتقديم تقرير أولي في 27 تموز/يوليه 2007 بشأن تنفيذ أحكام الاتفاقية إلى اللجنة المعنية بحماية حقوق جميع المهاجرين وأفراد أسرهم والتي تضطلع برصد تنفيذ الدول الأطراف للاتفاقية.

In that resolution, the Conference also requested the Secretariat to prepare an analytical report for the above-mentioned working groups on the application of the Convention by States parties with respect to criminal offences against cultural property and urged States parties to provide the Secretariat with information for that report.
43- وطلب المؤتمر أيضا إلى الأمانة في القرار نفسه أن تعدّ تقريراً تحليلياً موجّهاً إلى فريقي الخبراء المذكورين أعلاه عن تطبيق الدول الأطراف للاتفاقية فيما يتعلق بالجرائم المرتكبة ضد الممتلكات الثقافية وحثَّ الدول الأطراف على أن تزوّد الأمانة بالمعلومات اللازمة لذلك التقرير.

(b) To review [the level of] compliance with the Convention by States parties, [including] [the level of] international cooperation provided and received by States parties in accordance with the provisions of the Convention;
(ب) استعراض [مدى] امتثال الدول الأطراف للاتفاقية [بما في ذلك] [و] [مدى] التعاون الدولي الذي تتيحه الدول الأطراف وتستفيد منه وفقا لأحكام الاتفاقية؛

Finally, he reiterated the wish of the European Union for an efficient mechanism to ensure compliance by States parties with the Convention and its four protocols.
