40. In Sierra Leone, the legitimate Government of President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah signed a peace agreement in Lomé with Foday Sankoh’s Revolutionary United Front (RUF) on 7 July 1999.

As is well known, the legitimate Government of President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah signed a peace agreement in Lomé with Foday Sankoh's Revolutionary United Front (RUF) on 7 July 1999 (S/1999/777, annex).
