26. The cost estimates for contingent personnel are, as per standard practice, based on the phasing-in of contingents; as stated in paragraph 25 of annex VI to document A/48/690, the cost estimate provides for reimbursement to Governments for an average strength of 25,454 military personnel.
٦٢ - وتستند تقديرات التكاليف المتعلقة بأفراد الوحدات، حسب الممارسة المعتادة، الى فكرة إنهاء وجود تلك الوحدات تدريجيا؛ وكما هو مذكور في الفقرة ٢٥ من المرفق السادس للوثيقة A/48/690، تنطوي تقديرات التكلفة على سداد تكاليف ٤٥٤ ٢٥ فردا عسكريا في المتوسط الى الحكومات.

The Committee requested the legal drafting group, using the expertise of the Finance Officer provided, to review the financial rules for the Conference of the Parties, as contained in annex VI to document UNEP/POPS/INC.6/22, with a view to clarifying the unresolved issues and to report to the Committee on the results of its deliberations.

27. The Advisory Committee notes from annex V to document A/55/517 and annex VI to document A/56/495/Add.1 that trials under preparation were projected at 12 but only 8 were completed.

32. The Advisory Committee notes from paragraphs 54-56 of annex VI to document A/49/375 that a provision of $11,697,100 is made for purchase of 489 vehicles (246 sedans and jeeps, 32 buses and 211 trucks and other vehicles) and a provision of $144,000 is made for rental of 12 vehicles.
٣٢ - وتلاحظ اللجنة الاستشارية من الفقرات ٥٤ - ٥٦ من المرفق السادس للوثيقة A/49/375 أن اعتمادا قــدره ١٠٠ ٦٩٧ ١١ دولار رصــد لشــراء ٤٨٩ مركبة )٢٤٦ سيــارة ركوب وسيارة جيب و ٣٢ حافلــة و ٢١١ شاحنة ومركبات أخرى( ورصد مبلغ قدره ٠٠٠ ١٤٤ لاستئجار ١٢ مركبة.

In this connection, the Advisory Committee recalls that during its consideration of the Secretary-General’s proposal for a new system of administration of justice, it was informed that a large percentage of the cases processed by the Panel of Counsel and the Office of the Ombudsman related to staff selection and promotion issues (see annex VI to document A/62/7/Add.7 in the present supplement).
