At the request of the Minister for Social Welfare of Myanmar, a joint technical advisory mission to Myanmar was conducted by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat and led by the United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response (UN-SPIDER) from 19 to 23 March 2012.

At the same meeting, in accordance with the understanding reached in its prior consultations, the Council also decided to extend an invitation, under rule 39 of its provisional rules of procedure, to Mr. Rashid Khalikov, Director of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat.

Requests the Secretary-General to make recommendations by the end of its fifty-ninth session on how to ensure the ongoing discharge of key functions of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat at Headquarters as defined by the Committee for Programme and Coordination;
13 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم بحلول نهاية دورتها التاسعة والخمسين توصيات بشأن كيفية ضمان مواصلة أداء المهام الرئيسية لمكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأمانة العامة بالمقر على النحو الذي حددته لجنة البرنامج والتنسيق؛

13. Requests the Secretary-General to make recommendations to the General Assembly by the end of its fifty-ninth session on how to ensure the ongoing discharge of key functions of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat at Headquarters as defined by the Committee for Programme and Coordination;
13 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة بحلول نهاية دورتها التاسعة والخمسين توصيات بشأن كيفية ضمان مواصلة أداء المهام الرئيسية لمكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأمانة العامة بالمقر على النحو الذي حددته لجنة البرنامج والتنسيق؛

3. Also recognizes the work done by the White Helmets in coordination with the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat to promote the interchange of humanitarian experiences and best practices among the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean;

" The Council commends the joint efforts made by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat and other agencies of the United Nations to provide humanitarian assistance and to draw international attention to the scale of the problem in the Sahel region.
" ويثني المجلس على مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأمانة العامة ووكالات أخرى تابعة للأمم المتحدة لما تبذله من جهود لتقديم المساعدة الإنسانية وتوجيه الانتباه على الصعيد الدولي إلى حجم المشكلة في منطقة الساحل.

Furthermore, close coordination with the UNMIS Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General/Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for the Sudan and the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat must be ensured (para. 63).

5. Requests the Mission to continue, within its current mandate, its collaboration with the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat and the United Nations country team in supporting the humanitarian and recovery efforts, and further encourages all actors to continue to engage in joint planning and coordination at the national and local levels;
5 - يطلب إلى البعثة أن تواصل، في حدود ولايتها الحالية، تعاونها مع مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأمانة العامة وفريق الأمم المتحدة القطري لدعم الجهود المبذولة في مجالي المساعدة الإنسانية والإنعاش، ويشجع كذلك جميع الجهات الفاعلة على أن تواصل المشاركة في أنشطة التخطيط والتنسيق المشتركة على الصعيدين الوطني والمحلي؛

16. Urges all donors to provide expeditiously financial support to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the Secretariat and international humanitarian organizations, as requested in the humanitarian appeals issued by the United Nations system and the host countries, so that they can implement more actively the humanitarian response plan inside the country;
16 - تحث جميع الجهات المانحة على التعجيل بتقديم الدعم المالي إلى مكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية في الأمانة العامة وإلى المنظمات الدولية العاملة في مجال تقديم المساعدة الإنسانية، على النحو المطلوب في النداءات الإنسانية الصادرة عن منظومة الأمم المتحدة والبلدان المضيفة، حتى يتسنى لها تنفيذ خطة الإغاثة الإنسانية بقدر أكبر من الفعالية داخل البلد؛
