When selecting their candidates, States should consult their national human rights institutions and civil society organizations and apply the following guidelines on technical and objective requirements for the submission of their candidates:

12. Pursuant to paragraph 67 of the annex to Council resolution 5/1, the Council adopted decision 6/102 containing technical and objective requirements for the submission of candidatures for members of the Advisory Committee with the aim of ensuring that the best possible expertise is made available to the Council.
12- وعملاً بالفقرة 67 من مرفق القرار 5/1، اعتمد المجلس المقرر 6/102 الذي يتضمن الشروط التقنية والموضوعية لتقديم الترشيحات لعضوية اللجنة الاستشارية، بهدف ضمان توافر أفضل خبرة ممكنة للمجلس.

10. Pursuant to paragraph 67 of the annex to resolution 5/1, the Human Rights Council adopted decision 6/102 containing technical and objective requirements for the submission of candidatures for members of the Advisory Committee with the aim of ensuring that the best possible expertise is made available to the Council.
10- وعملاً بالفقرة 67 من مرفق القرار 5/1، اعتمد المجلس المقرر 6/102 الذي يتضمن الشروط التقنية والموضوعية لتقديم الترشيحات لعضوية اللجنة الاستشارية، بهدف ضمان توافر أفضل خبرة ممكنة للمجلس.

2. The Secretariat may provide a standardized form, on the basis of the technical and objective requirements stipulated below, for candidates to fill in, and shall allow for highlighting any expertise they possess in specific areas, so as to facilitate the selection of relevant candidacies from the roster as soon as appointments for particular mandates are necessary.
2- ويجوز أن توفر الأمانة استمارة موَحَّدة، استناداً إلى الشروط التقنية والموضوعية المنصوص عليها أدناه، ليقوم المرشحون بملئها، وتسمح بإبراز ما قد يتوافر لديهم من خبرة فنية في مجالات محددة، تيسيراً لاختيار المرشحين المناسبين من القائمة متى دعت الضرورة إلى إجراء تعيينات للاضطلاع بولايات معينة.

67. The aim is to ensure that the best possible expertise is made available to the Council. For this purpose, technical and objective requirements for the submission of candidatures will be established and approved by the Council at its sixth session (first session of the second cycle).
67- والهدف من ذلك هو ضمان إتاحة أفضل الخبرات الممكنة للمجلس وتحقيقاً لهذا الغرض، سيقوم المجلس في دورته السادسة بوضع وإقرار الشروط التقنية والموضوعية لقبول المرشحين (الدورة الأولى من الجولة الثانية).
