The statement advocated a comprehensive approach to juvenile justice reform in accordance with General Comment No. 10 of the Committee on the Rights of the Child.
ودعا البيان إلى اعتماد نهج شامل بشأن إصلاح قضاء الأحداث وفقا للتعليق العام رقم 10 الصادر عن لجنة حقوق الطفل.

1. The Working Group on Arbitrary Detention was established by resolution 1991/42 of the former Commission on Human Rights.

With respect to essential medicines in particular, the Working Group considers that intellectual property protections should not result in the weakening of the enjoyment of the human right to the highest attainable standard of health, or in limiting access to essential medicines, as stated in general comment No. 14 of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
وفيما يتعلق بالأدوية الأساسية بصفة خاصة، يرى الفريق العامل أن حماية الملكية الفكرية ينبغي ألا تؤدي إلى إضعاف حق الإنسان في التمتع بأعلى مستوى من الصحة يمكن بلوغه، أو تقييد الحصول على الأدوية الأساسية، وفقاً لما جاء في التعليق العام رقم 14 الصادر عن لجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية.

9. The case studies show that indigenous peoples generally do not enjoy adequate housing in the following areas as defined by general comment No. 4 of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights:

39. Several countries are enacting legislation setting the minimum age of marriage at 18, in accordance with general comment No. 4 of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, while others are increasing the minimum age of marriage to 18 and eliminating differences in the legal age between boys and girls.
39 - ويعكف عدد من البلدان على سن تشريعات تحدد السن الأدنى للزواج بـ 18 عاماً، وفقاً للتعليق العام رقم 4 الصادر عن لجنة حقوق الطفل، في حين ترفع بلدان أخرى السن الأدنى للزواج إلى 18 عاماً وتلغي بذلك الاختلافات القائمة في السن القانونية بين الفتيان والفتيات.

The general measures contained in general recommendation No. 29 (2002) of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination should also be implemented.
