وطلبت الجمعية العامة أيضا انعقاد فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي المفتوح باب العضوية لإعداد مشروع نطاق اختصاص لأغراض التفاوض بشأن الصك القانوني المقبل لمكافحة الفساد.

Although his own delegation preferred the draft articles to be adopted in the form of an international convention, the discussion at present should focus on resolving outstanding substantive issues, rather than on the form which a future legal instrument should take.

The Assembly requested the Secretary-General to convene an intergovernmental open-ended expert group to examine and prepare draft terms of reference for the negotiation of the future legal instrument and requested the expert group to submit the draft terms of reference, through the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and the Council, to the Assembly at its fifty-sixth session for adoption.
وطلبت الجمعية إلى الأمين العام دعوة فريق خبراء حكومي دولي مفتوح باب العضوية إلى الانعقاد كي يتولى دراسة وإعداد مشروع اختصاصات التفاوض على الصك القانوني المقبل لمكافحة الفساد، وطلبت إلى فريق الخبراء أن يقدم مشروع الاختصاصات، عن طريق لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها السادسة والخمسين بغية اعتماده.

V. Negotiation of the draft United Nations convention against corruption 15. Pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 55/61 and 55/188, an intergovernmental open-ended expert group to prepare draft terms of reference for the negotiation of a future legal instrument against corruption met in Vienna from 30 July to 3 August 2001.

In its resolution 55/61 of 4 December 2000, the General Assembly recognized that an effective international legal instrument against corruption was desirable; decided to begin the development of such an instrument; and requested the Secretary-General to convene an intergovernmental open-ended expert group to examine and prepare draft terms of reference for the negotiation of the future legal instrument against corruption.
1- في قرارها 55/61 المؤرخ 4 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000، سلمت الجمعية العامة بأن من المستصوب اعداد صك قانوني دولي فعال لمكافحة الفساد، وقررت الشروع في اعداد صك من هذا القبيل، وطلبت إلى الأمين العام أن يعقد اجتماعا لفريق خبراء دوليين - حكوميين مفتوح العضوية يتولى دراسة وإعداد مشروع نطاق مرجعي للتفاوض بشأن الصك القانوني المقبل لمكافحة الفساد.
