His group was of the view that draft resolution A, particularly the part on the new world information and communication order, was of particular importance.

III. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE new world information AND
ثالثا - إقامة النظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال

However, his delegation understood that other delegations did not wish to reopen the debate on the question, and therefore hoped that at its next session, the Committee on Information would make a more exhaustive study of the new world information and communication order.
بيد أن وفده يدرك أن الوفود اﻷخرى لا ترغب في إعادة فتح المناقشة بشأن هذه المسألة، ولذلك فإنه يأمل في أن تعد لجنة اﻹعلام، في دورتها المقبلة، دراسة أكثر شمولا للنظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال.

16. It was a matter of concern that the salient objectives of the new world information and communication order had yet to be realized.

20. Once the General Assembly adopted the two draft resolutions contained in the report of the Committee on Information, they would constitute a set of clear, specific guidelines on the form that the new world information and communication order should take.
٢٠ - وأضاف قائلا إنه حالما تعتمد الجمعية العامة مشروعي القرار الواردين في تقرير لجنة اﻹعلام فإنهما يصبحان يشكلان مجموعة من المبادئ التوجيهية الواضحة والدقيقة فيما يتعلق بالشكل الذي ينبغي أن يتخذه النظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصالات.

The participants had agreed on the urgent need of developing countries to modernize their communications systems and to establish, in the framework of the new world information and communication order, an international code of conduct to deal with the impact of foreign programmes rebroadcast by satellite.
واتفق المشتركون على أن تحديث شبكات الاتصالات والعمل على اعتماد، في إطار النظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال، مدونة دولية لقواعد السلوك بسبب تأثير اﻹذاعات اﻷجنبية المنقولة بواسطة السواتل، هي ضرورة عاجلة بالنسبة للبلدان النامية.

7. The Ministers agreed that the struggle for the new world information and communication order should be intensified in spite of the end of the cold war, since the challenges and realities that informed the call for the order were still prevalent.
٧ - اتفق الوزراء على أن ينبغي تكثيف النضال من أجل إقامة النظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال برغم انتهاء الحرب الباردة، بالنظر إلى أن التحديات والحقائق التي أملت الدعوة إلى ذلك النظام ما زالت سائدة.

In that context the Ministers considered of utmost importance the reactivation of the concept of the new world information and communication order and pledged to promote it both in the United Nations and in other international conferences, including those of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
وفي هذا السياق رأى الوزاء أنه من اﻷهمية القصوى بمكان إعادة تنشيط مفهوم النظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال وتعهدوا بتعزيزه في كل من اﻷمم المتحدة وفي المؤتمرات الدولية اﻷخرى، بما فيها مؤتمرات اليونسكو.

15. The Ministers stressed the need to coordinate the activities of national focal points of the non-aligned countries at the regional level with a view to strengthening the activities of NANAP and BONAC and to enhance their efficiency, and thus to accelerate the process of establishing the new world information and communication order.
٥١ - وشدد الوزراء على الحاجة إلى تنسيق أنشطة مراكز الاتصال الوطنية لبلدان عدم الانحياز على الصعيد اﻹقليمي بهدف تعزيز أنشطة " مجمع وكالات أنباء بلدان عدم الانحياز " و " الهيئات اﻹذاعية لبلدان عدم الانحياز " وزيادة فعاليتهما، وبالتالي اﻹسراع بعملية إقامة النظام العالمي الجديد لﻹعلام والاتصال.
