This section highlights some major activities undertaken by the thematic clusters and sub-clusters of the United Nations agencies and organizations working in Africa in support of the AU and its NEPAD programme, in 2007.
يبرز هذا الفرع بعض الأنشطة الرئيسية التي اضطلعت بها المجموعات المواضيعية والمجموعات الفرعية لوكالات الأمم المتحدة ومنظماتها العاملة في أفريقيا لدعم الاتحاد الأفريقي ومبادرة نيباد في عام 2007.

There was deeper involvement of these institutions in the Regional Coordination Mechanism of United Nations agencies and organizations working in Africa in support of the African Union (AU) and its NEPAD programme (RCM-Africa) and its clusters, and greater support for capacity-building in the AUC, the NEPAD Agency (NPCA) and the regional economic communities.

The Regional Coordination Mechanism of United Nations agencies and organizations working in Africa in support of the African Union and its NEPAD programme should continue to support the capacity needs of Africa's institutions and enhance policy coherence and the alignment of activities of the United Nations system.

The Eighth Regional Consultative Meeting of United Nations agencies and organizations working in Africa in support of the AU and its NEPAD programme was held on 5 and 6 November 2007 to build on the achievements of the seventh RCM and to strengthen the partnership with the AU Commission and the NEPAD Secretariat.

13. Recognizes the Regional Coordination Mechanism of United Nations agencies and organizations working in Africa in support of the African Union and its New Partnership for Africa's Development Programme of Action, which aims to ensure coordination and coherence in the delivery of support for greater effectiveness and impact through increased joint programming and joint implementation of activities;
