Within the context of UNIDO programmatic transformation and the Plan of Action of the Alliance for Africa’s Industrialization, the IDDA programme was refocused in 1998, with particular emphasis on more effective country-level programming and alignment of the country programmes to the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF).
٢٨ - في سياق عملية التحول البرنامجي لليونيدو وفي سياق خطة عمل التحالف من أجل التصنيع في أفريقيا، أعيد توجيه برنامج العقد الثاني للتنمية الصناعية ﻷفريقيا في عام ١٩٩٨، مع التأكيد بوجه خاص على زيادة كفاءة البرمجة على الصعيد القطري وتوفيق البرامج القطرية مع إطار اﻷمم المتحدة للمساعدة اﻹنمائية.

27. The present section provides a summary of specific actions taken by UNIDO and ECA to support the attainment of the goals and objectives of IDDA during the 1998-1999 biennium.
٢٧ - يعرض هذا الفرع موجزا للتدابير المحددة التي اتخذتها كل من اليونيدو واللجنة الاقتصادية ﻷفريقيا لدعم تحقيق أهداف وغايات العقد الثاني للتنمية الصناعية ﻷفريقيا خلال فترة السنتين ١٩٩٨-١٩٩٩.

There is a need for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the United Nations Environment Programme and other relevant United Nations bodies to enhance their activities in developing and implementing sustainable industrial development strategies, including taking into account the implementation of the Second Industrial Decade for Africa.
