In this regard, section 7(1) of the Employment and Labour Relations Act prohibits discrimination in matters related to work on a number of grounds including HIV/AIDS.

The Committee is also concerned that, while paid maternity leave is provided for in the Public Service Standing Orders (1984) and the Employment and Labour Relations Act (2004), such maternity leave is only available every three years and that the private sector employers are not bound by these Standing Orders.
كما يساور اللجنة القلق لأنه في حين تنص الأوامر الدائمة للخدمة العامة (1984) وقانون العمالة وعلاقات العمل (2004) على منح النساء إجازة أمومة مدفوعة الأجر، تتاح هذه الإجازة مرة واحدة فقط كل ثلاث سنوات، ولأن أصحاب العمل في القطاع الخاص غير ملزمين بالامتثال لهذه الأوامر الدائمة.
