٤ - ودعا اﻷمين العام، في تقريره المقدم إلى الدورة الثالثة والخمسين للجمعية العامة، اليونيسيف إلى تنسيق إجراء استعراض عالمي للتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ اﻹعلان العالمي وخطة العمل الصادرين عن مؤتمر القمة العالمي من أجل الطفل.

The ratification of these instruments and the incorporation of their main provisions into our national legal framework demonstrate our political will and commitment to the effective implementation of the World Declaration and Plan of Action of the World Summit for Children.

1. Decides that the title of proposal H should be changed to “Activities for capacity-building in developing countries in pursuance of the objectives of Agenda 21, the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and the Programme of Action of the World Summit for Social Development, and the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action”;
١ - تقرر تغيير عنوان المقترح حاء ليصبح " اﻷنشطة اللازمة لبناء القدرات في البلدان النامية وفقا ﻷهداف جدول أعمال القرن ٢١، وإعلان كوبنهاغن بشأن التنمية الاجتماعية وبرنامج العمل الصادرين عن مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية، وإعلان بيجين ومنهاج العمل " ؛

H. Activities for capacity-building in developing countries in pursuance of the objectives of Agenda 21, the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and the Programme of Action of the World Summit for Social Development, and the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action (Department of Economic and Social Affairs);

Also stressing that the United Nations system should play a central role in enhancing support and assistance for developing countries, in particular African countries and least developed countries, in their efforts to achieve the objectives set forth in the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and in the Programme of Action of the World Summit for Social Development, See A/CONF.166/9, chap. I, resolution 1, annexes I and II.
وإذ تؤكد أيضا أن منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة ينبغي أن تؤدي دورا مركزيا في تعزيز الدعم والمساعدة المقدمين للبلدان النامية، ولا سيما البلدان اﻷفريقية وأقل البلدان نموا، في جهودها الرامية الى تحقيق اﻷهداف المبينة في إعلان كوبنهاغن بشأن التنمية وبرنامج العمل الصادرين عن مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية)١( وكذلك في مؤتمرات اﻷمم المتحدة الرئيسية المعقودة منذ ٠٩٩١ بهدف القضاء على الفقر،

It should contribute to the implementation of, and take specific actions requested in, the Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2001 - 2010, the Monterrey Consensus, the Johannesburg Declaration on Sustainable Development and the Plan of Implementation agreed at the World Summit on Sustainable Development, and the Declaration of Principles and the Plan of Action of the World Summit on the Information Society.
وينبغي للأونكتاد أن يسهم في تنفيذ برنامج العمل لصالح أقل البلدان نمواً للعقد 2001-2010، وتوافق آراء مونتيري، وإعلان جوهانسبرغ بشأن التنمية المستدامة، وخطة التنفيذ المتفق عليها في مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية المستدامة، وإعلان المبادئ وخطة العمل الصادرين عن مؤتمر القمة العالمي لمجتمع المعلومات، كما ينبغي لـه أن يتخذ الإجراءات المحددة المطلوبة في كل ما تقدم.

Reaffirming that the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and Programme of Action of the World Summit for Social Development and the further initiatives for social development adopted by the General Assembly at its twenty-fourth special session, as well as a continued global dialogue on social development issues, constitute the basic framework for the promotion of social development for all at the national and international levels,
إذ يعيد تأكيد أن إعلان كوبنهاغن بشأن التنمية الاجتماعية وبرنامج العمل الصادرين عن مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية() والمبادرات الأخرى المتعلقة بالتنمية الاجتماعية التي اتخذتها الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية الرابعة والعشرين() وإجراء حوار متواصل على الصعيد العالمي بشأن مسائل التنمية الاجتماعية تشكل إطار العمل الأساسي لتعزيز التنمية الاجتماعية للجميع على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي،

6. Finally, the European Union welcomed the report on progress on the implementation of the World Declaration and Plan of Action from the World Summit for Children (A/53/186).
٦ - واختتمت كلامها قائلة إن الاتحاد اﻷوروبي يرحب بالتقرير المتعلق بالتقدم المحرز في تنفيذ اﻹعلان العالمي وبرنامج العمل الصادرين عن مؤتمر القمة العالمي من أجل الطفل (A/53/186).

87. Mr. Andjaba (Namibia), speaking on behalf of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), said that the countries members of the Community had taken note of the report entitled “Progress on the implementation of the World Declaration and Plan of Action from the World Summit for Children” (A/53/186).
