• Action of the Fourth World Conference

Recalling also that discrimination against the girl child and the violation of the rights of the girl child was identified as a critical area of concern in the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women in the achievement of equality, development and peace for women, and that the advancement and empowerment of women throughout their life-cycle must begin with the girl child,
وإذ تشير أيضا إلى أن منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة قد اعتبر أن التمييز ضد الطفلة وانتهاك حقوقها من مجالات الاهتمام الحاسمة التي يتعين التركيز عليها لتحقيق المساواة والتنمية والسلم للمرأة، وأن النهوض بالمرأة وتمكينها طوال دورة حياتها يجب أن يبدآ بالطفلة،

9. Urges all States to fulfil their obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women as well as the commitment to implement the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women;
9 - تحث جميع الدول على الوفاء بالالتزامات التي تعهدت بها بموجب اتفاقية حقوق الطفل واتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة، فضلا عن الالتزام بتنفيذ منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة؛

11. Calls upon all States and international and non-governmental organizations, individually and collectively, to implement further the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women, in particular the strategic objectives relating to the girl child and including the further actions and initiatives to implement the Platform for Action;
11- تهيب بجميع الدول والمنظمات الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية أن تقوم، منفردة ومجتمعة، بتعزيز تنفيذ منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة، وبخاصة الأهداف الاستراتيجية المتعلقة بالطفلة، بما في ذلك التدابير والإجراءات الأخرى الكفيلة بتنفيذ منهاج العمل؛

7. Requests the Secretary-General to ensure that the goals and actions relating to the girl child receive full attention in the implementation of the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women through the work of all organizations and bodies of the United Nations system;
٧ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يكفل للمقاصد المتصلة بالطفلة أن تحظى بكامل الاهتمام لدى تنفيذ منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة عن طريق اﻷعمال التي تضطلع بها جميع المؤسسات والهيئات التابعة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة؛

" ٧ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يكفل للمقاصد المتصلة بالطفلة أن تحظى بكامل الاهتمام لدى تنفيذ منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة عن طريق اﻷعمال التي تضطلع بها جميع المؤسسات والهيئات التابعة لمنظومة اﻷمم المتحدة؛

6. Calls upon all States and international and non-governmental organizations, individually and collectively, to further implement the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women, in particular the strategic objectives relating to the girl child;
٦ - تهيب بجميع الدول والمنظمات الدولية والمنظمات غير الحكومية أن تقوم، منفردة ومجتمعة، بتعزيز تنفيذ منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة وبخاصة اﻷهداف الاستراتيجية المتعلقة بالطفلة؛

" Keeping also in mind that the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women, See A/CONF.177/20, chap. I. in reviewing the institutional arrangements for the advancement of women within the United Nations system, was of the opinion that all the institutional arrangements should be strengthened and provided with the necessary resources to permit them to contribute to the implementation of the Platform for Action, as adopted,
" وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أيضا ما رئي لدى استعراض الترتيبات المؤسسية للنهوض بالمرأة داخل منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة، في منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة)٥( من ضرورة تعزيز جميع الترتيبات المؤسسية وتزويدها بالموارد اللازمة التي تمكنها من المساهمة في تنفيذ منهاج العمل، بصيغته المعتمدة،

10. Mr. TESSEMA (Ethiopia) welcomed the fact that the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women proposed strategic objectives and action to advance the status of women into the twenty-first century.
١٠ - السيد تيسيما )إثيوبيا( أشاد بأن برنامج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة يقترح أهدافا استراتيجية وتدابير يتعين اتخاذها لضمان تحسين مركز المرأة من اﻵن وحتى القرن الحادي والعشرين.

4. Also urges all States to fulfil their obligations under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women as well as the commitment to implement the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women; Report of the Fourth World Conference on Women, Beijing, 4-15 September 1995 (United Nations publication, Sales No. E.96.IV.13), chap. The Charter connects to international documents on human rights which are important for sexual and reproductive health, including programmes of the International Conference on Population and Development (1994), the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women (1995) and other United Nations documents.
ويرتبط الميثاق بالوثائق الدولية لحقوق الإنسان التي تتسم بالأهمية بالنسبة للصحة الجنسية والإنجابية، بما في ذلك برامج المؤتمر الدولي للسكــان والتنمية (1994)، ومنهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة (1995) ووثائق الأمم المتحدة الأخرى.

Also urges all States and international and non-governmental organizations, individually and collectively, to set goals and to develop and implement gender-sensitive strategies to address the needs of children, in particular those of girls, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the goals, strategic objectives and actions contained in the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women;
" ٢ - تحث أيضا جميع الدول والمنظمات الدولية فضلا عن المنظمات غير الحكومية، على أن تقوم، منفردة ومجتمعة، بتحديــد اﻷهـداف ووضع وتنفيـذ استراتيجيات مراعية للفروق بين الجنسين للاهتمام باحتياجات اﻷطفال، وبخاصة احتياجات البنات، وفقا لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل والمقاصد واﻷهداف الاستراتيجية واﻹجراءات المنصوص عليها في منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة؛

2. Also urges all States, international organizations as well as non-governmental organizations, individually and collectively to set goals and to develop and implement gender-sensitive strategies to address the needs of children, in particular those of girls, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the goals, strategic objectives and actions contained in the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women;
٢ - تحث أيضا جميع الدول والمنظمات الدولية فضلا عن المنظمات غير الحكومية، على أن تقوم، منفردة ومجتمعة، بتحديــد اﻷهـداف ووضع وتنفيـذ استراتيجيات مراعية للفروق بين الجنسين للاهتمام باحتياجات اﻷطفال، وبخاصة احتياجات البنات، وفقا لاتفاقية حقوق الطفل والمقاصد واﻷهداف الاستراتيجية واﻹجراءات المنصوص عليها في منهاج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة؛

62. In its medium-term strategy for 1996-2001, pursuant to the recommendations made in strategic objective B.5 of the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women, UNESCO planned to contribute to the evaluation of progress achieved in the elimination of differences between the sexes with regard to access to education and to provide technical assistance to close that gap.
٦٢ - وتنص استراتيجية اليونسكو المتوسطة اﻷجل للفترة ١٩٩٦-٢٠٠١ وفقا للتوصيات الواردة في الهدف باء - ٥ من برنامج العمل الصادر عن المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة على المساهمة في تقييم المشاريع المنجزة في مجال القضاء على مختلف أوجه الاختلافات للوصول إلى التعليم والتدريب على أساس الجنس ومساعدة البلدان النامية على القضاء على هذه الاختلافات وذلك عن طريق تقديم المساعدة التقنية لها.
