Mr. Kovalenko (Russian Federation) said that his delegation had noted a significant reduction in the actuarial surplus of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF), from 4.25 per cent of pensionable remuneration when the previous actuarial valuation had taken place in December 1999 to 2.92 per cent.
