Discussions in the Working Group on Trade, Debt and Finance centred on the relationship between trade and finance, the relationship between trade and debt and coherence between international trade and financial policies.

The tasks of the Working Group on Trade and Transfer of Technology included needs assessment, identification of problems and constraints, examination of the WTO agreements in relation to those constraints, assessing developed countries' implementation of WTO provisions, and studying the design of financial instruments that developed countries could use in their own territories, which would encourage technology transfer.
ومن بين مهام الفريق العامل المعني بالتجارة ونقل التكنولوجيا، هناك تقييم الاحتياجات وتحديد المشاكل والمعوقات ودراسة اتفاقيات منظمة التجارة العالمية فيما يتعلق بتلك المعوقات وتقييم مدى تنفيذ البلدان النامية لأحكام منظمة التجارة العالمية ودراسة شكل الأدوات المالية التي يمكن للبلدان المتقدمة أن تستخدمها على أراضيها والتي من شأنها أن تشجع نقل التكنولوجيا.

23. We call for a more focused programme in the Working Group on Trade and Transfer of Technology with a view to finding durable solutions to the problems associated with transfer of technology to Arab States and increasing the inflow of appropriate technology to these countries.
23- إننا ندعو إلى اعتماد برنامج أكثر تركيزاً في الفريق العامل المعني بالتجارة ونقل التكنولوجيا بغية إيجاد حلول دائمة للمشاكل المرتبطة بنقل التكنولوجيا إلى الدول العربية وزيادة تدفق التكنولوجيات المناسبة إلى هذه البلدان.

UNCTAD and the Latin American Economic System (SELA) secretariats formed the Working Group on Trade and Competition last October 2010 after having organized two regional meetings in Caracas (April 2009) and Brasilia (May 2010).

In most cases, enhanced understanding of the implications and possible responses to environmental requirements may provide inputs to ongoing discussion in the WTO's TBT, SPS and CTE Committees, as well as in the Working Group on Trade and Transfer of Technology.
