The objectives of the Expert Meeting were to raise awareness about Human Space technology and its applications among Member States of the United Nations and to discuss how to promote the Human Space Technology Initiative in the world.

The working groups considered microgravity science; education, outreach and capacity-building; and the Human Space Technology Initiative.

40- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية بعين التقدير مشاركة الشركاء في محطة الفضاء الدولية في ندوة التوعية بمحطة الفضاء الدولية، التي نظَّمها المكتب في إطار مبادرة تكنولوجيا الفضاء البشرية في 8 شباط/فبراير.

The Committee welcomed with appreciation the publication entitled Human Space Technology Initiative: Humans in Space (ST/SPACE/62).
29- ورحَّبت اللجنة مع التقدير بالمنشور المعنون: " Human Space Technology Initiative: Humans in Space " (مبادرة تكنولوجيا الفضاء البشرية: البشر في الفضاء) (ST/SPACE/62).

In 2010, the Human Space Technology Initiative was launched to promote international cooperation in activities related to human spaceflight and space exploration, raise awareness of the benefits of Human Space technology and support capacity-building in microgravity research and education.
٨- وفي عام 2010، أُطلقت " مبادرة تكنولوجيا ارتياد الإنسان للفضاء " لتعزيز التعاون الدولي في الأنشطة المتصلة برحلات الفضاء البشرية واستكشاف الإنسان للفضاء، والتوعية بفوائد تكنولوجيا الفضاء البشرية ودعم بناء القدرات في البحث والتعليم بشأن الجاذبية الصغرية.

The Committee noted with appreciation that the first expert meeting on the Human Space Technology Initiative would be held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, in the fourth quarter of 2010 and expressed its appreciation to the Government of Malaysia, the National Space Agency of Malaysia (ANGKASA) and the National University of Malaysia for acting as host to and supporting that meeting.
78- ولاحظت اللجنة مع التقدير أن اجتماع الخبراء الأول المتعلق بمبادرة تكنولوجيا الفضاء البشرية سيعقد في الربع الأخير من عام 2010 في بوتراجايا، ماليزيا، وأعربت عن تقديرها لحكومة ماليزيا ووكالة الفضاء الوطنية الماليزية وجامعة ماليزيا الوطنية، لاستضافة ذلك الاجتماع ودعمه.

The Third United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNISPACE III), held in Vienna from 19 to 30 July 1999, recognized that large Human Space exploration missions exceeded the capacity of a single country and that international cooperation should be encouraged in that area.
٧- وكان مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الثالث المعني باستكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية (اليونيسبيس الثالث)، الذي عُقد في فيينا من 19 إلى 30 تموز/يوليه 1999، قد سلَّم بأنَّ بعثات استكشاف الفضاء البشرية الضخمة تفوق قدرة أيِّ بلد واحد بعينه، وبأنه ينبغي إيثار التعاون في هذا المضمار.

During the working group discussions, 10 recommendations were formulated and endorsed by all the participants, namely: (a) the Human Space Technology Initiative should take action to create awareness among stakeholders, including decision makers in governmental and private sectors, researchers and students;
34- وأثناء مناقشات الأفرقة العاملة، صاغ المشاركون 10 توصيات أقرّوها كلهم، وهي: (أ) ينبغي أن تتخذ مبادرة تكنولوجيا الفضاء البشرية إجراءات لإيجاد الوعي بين أصحاب المصلحة، بمن فيهم صنّاع القرارات في القطاعين الحكومي والخاص والباحثون والطلاب؛

7- وكان مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الثالث المعني باستكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية (اليونيسبيس الثالث)، الذي عُقد في فيينا من 19 إلى 30 تموز/يوليه 1999، قد سلّم بأنَّ بعثات استكشاف الفضاء البشرية الضخمة تفوق قدرة أيِّ بلد واحد بعينه، وبأنه ينبغي إيثار التعاون في هذا المضمار.

The Subcommittee noted that the priority areas of the Programme were environmental monitoring, natural resource management, satellite communications for tele-education and telemedicine applications, disaster risk reduction, the use of global navigation satellite systems, the Basic Space Science Initiative, space law, climate change, the Basic Space Technology Initiative and the Human Space Technology Initiative.
39- ولاحظت اللجنة الفرعية أنَّ مجالات البرنامج المتسمة بالأولوية هي الرصد البيئي وإدارة الموارد الطبيعية والاستفادة من الاتصالات الساتلية في تطبيقات التعليم والتطبيب عن بُعد والحد من مخاطر الكوارث واستخدام النظم العالمية لسواتل الملاحة ومبادرة علوم الفضاء الأساسية وقانون الفضاء وتغيّر المناخ والمبادرة الأساسية لتكنولوجيا الفضاء ومبادرة تكنولوجيا الفضاء البشرية.

The view was expressed that in addition to two-line element data sets, available on the World Wide Web, an international platform on space objects created and maintained on a voluntary basis would preserve transparency and encourage partnerships for ensuring the safety of Human Space flights and national missions.
87- وأُعرب عن رأي مفاده أنه، بالإضافة إلى مجموعات بيانات العناصر المدارية ذات الخطين، المتاحة حاليا على شبكة الويب العالمية، من شأن وجود قاعدة معلومات دولية عن الأجسام الفضائية، تُنشأ وتُحفظ طوعا، أن يؤدي إلى الحفاظ على الشفافية وأن يشجّع على إقامة شراكات لضمان أمان رحلات الفضاء البشرية والبعثات الوطنية.
