These hunger strikes have not only highlighted the violative use by Israel of administrative detention, but also have mobilized others currently held in detention to engage in open-ended hunger strikes and activated Palestinian solidarity initiatives among Palestinians living under occupation and others elsewhere.
ولم تقتصر هذه الإضرابات عن الطعام على إبراز ما ينطوي عليه لجوء إسرائيل إلى الاحتجاز الإداري من انتهاك للحقوق، بل حفزت أيضاً أشخاصاً آخرين محتجزين حالياً للقيام بإضرابات مفتوحة عن الطعام ونشَّطت مبادرات التضامن الفلسطينية فيما بين الفلسطينيين الذين يعيشون تحت الاحتلال وأشخاص آخرين في أماكن أخرى.

It seeks justice to defend the rights of Palestinians living under occupation since 1967 by pleading in Israeli courts and international forums on the central issue of human rights, in accordance with international humanitarian law.
