85 - وطوال سنوات الاحتلال، وضعت السلطات الإسرائيلية نظاما شاملا وتفصيليا من القوانين والأنظمة والتدابير الإدارية التي تمس جميع جوانب حياة الشعبين الفلسطيني والسوري في الأراضي المحتلة.

185. The Special Committee considers it especially important that the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in consultation with the Secretary-General, establish a system of continuous communication with the Israeli authorities with a view to improving the very difficult circumstances in which the Palestinian and Syrian peoples of the occupied territories currently live.
٥٨١ - وتعتبر اللجنة الخاصة أن من الضروري للغاية أن ينشئ المفوض السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان، بالتشاور مع اﻷمين العام، نظاما للاتصال المستمر مع السلطات اﻹسرائيلية بغية تحسين الظروف الراهنة البالغة الصعوبة التي يعيش في ظلها الشعبان الفلسطيني والسوري في اﻷراضي المحتلة.

55. The Palestinian and Syrian peoples deserved full support from United Nations Members in their struggle to defend the common human values of civilized societies: freedom, peace, equality and democracy.
55 - والشعبان الفلسطيني والسوري يستحقان الدعم التام من أعضاء الأمم المتحدة في نضالهما من أجل الدفاع عن القيم الإنسانية المشتركة بين المجتمعات المتحضرة، ألا وهي قيم الحرية، والسلام، والمساواة، والديمقراطية.
