On 29 May 1996, the Government of the Republic of Botswana and the Government of the Republic of Namibia notified jointly to the Registrar of the Court a Special Agreement between the two States which was signed at Gaborone on 15 February 1996 and entered into force on 15 May 1996, for the submission to the Court of the dispute existing between them concerning the boundary around Kasikili/Sedudu island and the legal status of that island.
١٦٢ - في ٢٩ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦، أخطرت حكومة جمهورية بوتسوانا وحكومة جمهورية ناميبيا معا مسجل المحكمة باتفاق خاص بين الدولتين وقﱢع في غابوروني في ١٥ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٦ ودخل حيز النفاذ في ١٥ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦، بأن يرفع الى المحكمة النزاع القائم بينهما بشأن الحدود المحيطة بجزيرة كاسيكيلي/ سيدودو والمركز القانوني لتلك الجزيرة.

20- ويساور اللجنة القلق من أن عدم وجود اتفاق بين الكيانين على الحقوق المتعلقة بالتقاعد وإخفاق الكيانين في تنفيذ الاتفاق القائم بينهما بشأن التأمين الصحي يحول دون استفادة الكثير من العائدين الذين ينتقلون من كيان إلى آخر من مستحقات التقاعد ومن الرعاية الصحية.
