In the context of criminal legislation, the imminent transposition into the Greek legal order of the EU Council Framework Decision 2008/913/JHA of 28 November 2008, on combating certain forms and expressions of racism and xenophobia by means of criminal law (see also below recommendation 84 (14)) will update and strengthen the relevant legislative framework, since sexual orientation will be included in its field of application.
