International law and the rule of law were the foundations of the international system, with the United Nations at its core, and the European Union welcomed efforts to strengthen the rule of law within the Organization itself.
ويمثل كلٌّ من القانون الدولي وسيادة القانون أساساً للنظام الدولي الذي تقع الأمم المتحدة في صميمه. ويرحب الاتحاد الأوروبي بالجهود المبذولة لتعزيز سيادة القانون داخل المنظمة نفسها.
