It welcomed Bahrain's intention to withdraw its reservation to article 9, paragraph 2, of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
ورحَّبت باعتزام البحرين سحب تحفظاتها على الفقرة 2 من المادة 9 من اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التميز ضد المرأة.

It also supports the universal ratification and implementation by all States of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.
وهو يدعم أيضا تصديق كافة الدول على اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التميز ضد المرأة وتنفيذها.

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (General Assembly resolution 34/180) is of particular note.

106. Rationale Nearly 20 years ago, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women was adopted. As of 20 May 1994, 20 African countries had neither ratified nor implemented it.

٠٥ - ومن المشجع ملاحظة أنه منذ اعتماد اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التميز ضد المرأة، زاد عدد الحكومات التي وقعت وصدقت عليها أو انضمت اليها حتى عام ١٩٨٩ من ٥١ إلى ٩٤ حكومة؛ وبحلول نهاية عام ١٩٩٣، كانت ١٣٠ دولة قد صدقت على هذه الاتفاقية أو انضمت اليها.

67- ونبَّهت شيلي على تصديق جزر البهاما على العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية، والعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، وعلى سحبها تحفظها على المادة 16(1)(ح) من اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التميز ضد المرأة.

4. States must address violence against women and bring their national legislation into conformity with international laws and obligations by implementing preventative strategies, ending impunity, initiating or expanding reliable data collection and ratifying the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and its Optional Protocol without reservation.
4 - يجب على الدول أن تعالج العنف ضد المرأة وأن توائم تشريعاتها الوطنية بما يتسق مع القوانين والالتزامات الدولية، وذلك بتنفيذ استراتيجيات منع ووضع حد للإفلات من القصاص، وبدء أو توسيع جمع بيانات موثوق بها، والتصديق على اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التميز ضد المرأة وبروتوكولها الاختياري من دون تحفظات.
