1. At the invitation of the Government of the Netherlands, an inter-sessional experts meeting on the provisional internal rules and regulations of the International Criminal Court was held at The Hague from 11 to 15 March 2002.

There was also a growing belief among many international organizations and States parties that the Convention could serve as a model for aligning the internal rules and regulations of international organizations.

UNODC has continued to take forward the Institutional Integrity Initiative which seeks to review the internal rules and regulations of the international organizations represented on the United Nations System Chief Executive Board of Coordination against the standards of the UNCAC.

Pursuant to Conference of the States Parties resolution 1/7, adopted by the Conference at its first session, UNODC has initiated a consultative process for reviewing the internal rules and regulations of the members of the United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination (CEB) with a view to aligning and harmonizing those rules and regulations with the principles contained in the Convention against Corruption.

The Institutional Integrity Initiative held its second meeting on 29 January 2009, bringing together members of the United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination (CEB) to follow up on the consultative process for the review and possible alignment of internal rules and regulations, with a view to aligning them with the principles embodied in the Convention.
16- وعقدت مبادرة النـزاهة المؤسسية اجتماعها الثاني في 29 كانون الثاني/يناير 2009، الذي جمع أعضاء مجلس الرؤساء التنفيذيين لمنظومة الأمم المتحدة المعني بالتنسيق (مجلس الرؤساء التنفيذيين)، لمتابعة العملية التشاورية من أجل استعراض القواعد واللوائح الداخلية والنظر في إمكانية مواءمتها، بهدف مواءمتها مع المبادئ المكرَّسة في اتفاقية مكافحة الفساد.

Most relevant to this task was that the Secretariat continued to serve as a focal point for the CEB institutional integrity initiative. The second meeting on the institutional integrity initiative was conducted in Vienna on 28 January 2009, to assess the results of the consultative process to review internal rules and regulations of international organizations with a view to alignment with the principles of the Convention.
