2. For polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts the exploration area shall consist of contiguous blocks.

(i) A description of the technology related to the recovery and processing of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts that is necessary for making the designation of a reserved area;

1. The contractor shall have the exclusive right to explore an area covered by a plan of work for exploration in respect of polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts.
1 - يكون للمتعاقد حق خالص في استكشاف قطاع مشمول بخطة عمل تتعلق باستكشاف الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت.

If a prospector or contractor finds resources in the Area other than polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts, the prospecting and exploration for and exploitation of such resources shall be subject to the rules, regulations and procedures of the Authority relating to such resources in accordance with the Convention and the Agreement.
إذا عثر منقّب أو متعاقد على موارد في المنطقة عدا الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت، كان التنقيب عن هذه الموارد واستكشافها واستغلالها خاضعا لقواعد السلطة وأنظمتها وإجراءاتها المتصلة بهذه الموارد وفقا للاتفاقية والاتفاق.

Prospecting shall not be undertaken in an area covered by an approved plan of work for exploration for polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts or in a reserved area; nor may there be prospecting in an area which the Council has disapproved for exploitation because of the risk of serious harm to the marine environment.
3 - يمتنع عن التنقيب في قطاع مشمول بخطة عمل موافق عليها لاستكشاف الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت، أو في قطاع محجوز، كما لا يجوز التنقيب في قطاع حظر المجلس استغلاله لوجود خطر يهدد بإلحاق ضرر جسيم بالبيئة البحرية.

(a) Data on the location, survey and evaluation of the polymetallic sulphides or cobalt crusts in the areas, including:
(أ) بيانات عن موقع ومسح وتقييم الكبريتيدات المؤلفة من عدة معادن أو القشور الغنية بالكوبالت في القطاعين، بما في ذلك ما يلي:

2. For polymetallic sulphides or cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts the exploration area shall consist of groups of blocks located within particular structures verified for ore content.
